  1. Yeah I was thinking of going crazy with this and renaming it to like Quasi Parameter Plus lol and add in the ability to create new stats as well and being able to modify every rate by a fixed value of your choice. But that might take awhile and I have to finish fixing bugs on my other scripts for now.

    But feel free to keep posting or msging me any ideas on improving this!
  2. I say go for it, such a script would probably become an absolute must-have for developers and make you an MV legend :)
  3. Alright finished the new version!

    https://github.com/quasixi/RPG-Maker-MV/blob/master/Database/QuasiParamsPlus.js

    I'll be updating the first post with new info in a little. Most of the information you need on making new parameters and using them is in the help window. If anyone would like to help write a better help or make screenshots of correctly set up examples, I would appreciate it because I'm not a huge fan of writing help / documentation / comments lol.
  4. Cool! What's in the latest version?
  5. Allows you to make your own parameters and being able to use them like any normal parameter. I was going to add the "x points = 1% of rate" but I totally forgot until just now lol, I'll try to patch that in quickly.

    Hopefully my explanation of setting up custom parameters and using them isn't too complicated, and first post is updated with the new info.
  6. Thanks for making this. This will definitely be essential for my MV project.
  7. Just finished adding in the ability to convert a stat to an xparam. New version is up but I don't have any time to write a help for it since I'm running late to class! But I'll leave this here, incase any one wants to mess and not wait for the help:

    Abbreviations for XParams:

    "hit", "eva", "cri", "cev", "mev", "mrf", "cnt", "hrg", "mrg", "trgNote tag setup:

    <rates>X STAT to XPARAM</rates>Set X to the number

    STAT should be the abbreviations for any of the normal parameters + new parameters + custom parameters. My example I used agi.

    XPARAM should be the abbreviation for an xparam ( abbreviations are above )

    Hopefully it runs fine, I just tested it with console and didn't do any deep bug hunting.
  8. I am digging the new additions, but I've found a bug :)

    The <rates> tag completely overwrites base stats.

    For example, my character has this tag:

    <rates>

    12 agi to cri

    15 agi to hit

    16 def to eva

    16 def to mev

    </rates>

    But has a base hit chance of 95%, a base crit chance of 5%, and a base evade chance of 4%.

    At level one, that character only has 10 agility, and when I turn the script on with that note tag, her Crit, Evade, AND Hit are all 0-1% :p

    Other than that, this script is great!

    Dumb question, but does this new "X stat to %" thing work with the other params in this script, like the PDR, MDR, etc?

    EDIT: Responding to your post in front of mine, it works now :>

    I'll let you know if any other bugs come up, and will be anxiously waiting for those sweet s-params :p
  9. Just tested and confirmed that is true. I'll have it fixed in a short while! and no it doesn't. Only works for Ex Params for now.

    Edit: And it should be fixed now! It was a small mistake on my side, I wasn't grabbing the old Ex Param correctly so it only returned the new one.
  10. @Farr, which part is incompatible? I just tested doing:
    Actor note:

    <Passive State: 11>while my state 11 has:

    <params>mhp: 100</params>and it worked like it's suppose to. Or is there a crash or something after doing something?
  11. Im sorry, It works, I just needed to add the FixedParams Plugin.

    I thought Params Plus was the same thing.

    Sorry and thanks.
  12. Wait, now that sounds odd. Params Plus has the Fixed Params plugin built in. So you shouldn't need both.
  13. Well, weird, I removed Param Plus and im just using Fixed Params and its working.
  14. Thats odd, did you try opening the console ( F8 ) to see if there was any errors as to why it wasn't working?

    I've also updated this to so now you can include sp-parameters inside the <rates></rates> note tag! I also updated the regex because it wasn't working correct at times and also made it so you can get a negative gain example:

    <rates>-5 agi to crit</rates>So instead of gaining 1% crit for every 5 you will lose 1% crit every 5 agi
  15. Well, I reinstalled your plug and its now working.

    Thanks for your time :)

    Edit:

    Is it possible to rate Param to other Params?

    Something like:

    2 agi for ATK

    or

    1 Agi for 3 ATK
  16. Nope that's not possible with the rates tag. You might be able to use it with the params tag like:

    <params>agi: a.atk / 2<params>Params note is for normal parameters + the built in new params + custom params you make. While rates tag is for Ex-Params and Sp-Params only.
  17. Cool, thanks for clarifying everything.

    Well, maybe you will update your plugin one day so we can do weird formulas for rates, param to rates, all that crazy stuff.

    I was hoping to make something like;

    <rates>

    ((a.atk / 2) + a.level) to hit

    </rates>

    crazy stuff like that, but all good

    Thanks again!
  18. Wooooot for S-Params, buuuut, they don't seem to be working:

    <rates>

    15 agi to cri

    10 agi to hit

    15 def to eva

    15 def to mev

    10 def to mdr

    10 def to pdr

    15 mdf to mrg

    </rates>

    I have that setup on one of my characters, boosted her DEF to 100, and no change in her s-parameters.
  19. Ah yeah, bad coding on my side lol. Should be fixed now! The issue was that you could only do either an xparam or an sparam, not both.
