You mean it wasn't the whole tread that was moved away? Posts can be moved away like puzzle pieces on a forum?! I hope it is what I was supposed to understand... :3

    Neat feature if so.
  2. Title: Tales of Ur'Idon(Working Title)

    Genre: Modern/Fantasy RPG

    About Me:

Just recently acquiring VX Ace I have decided to set out on my first real attempt to make a functional RPG. Though I have minor coding experience, self taught for a game engine known as BYOND, RPGMaker is still very foreign to me despite it's ease of use. I'm delving in blind as it were and trying to pick up as many tricks as I can to make a quality game. Any help or tips you can provide is more than welcome and all feedback is of course warranted whether it be positive or negative. I've already purchased Game Maker Hub and plan on commissioning Bust level character portraits for the main cast at least so if you know any good artists please don't hesitate to tell me.

    About The Game:

After downloading the trial of VX Ace it took me a while to actually decided the direction I wanted to take my game in. I went from a full futuristic RPG down to a medieval setting, but eventually I decided to go modern. The story itself is an adaptation of a short story I wrote a long time ago, though I'm having to flesh out a lot of aspects of it to pull a comprehensive and complete world from it. I've found in the past it's a lot easier to build something from what you know than starting from scratch and thanks to that I've been able to advance my storyboarding at a decent rate. Like most indie games for developers this has become sort of a labor of love, and I truly hope you guys can help me bring it to life with your advice.

    Setting/Story:

The story follows Edward Pincrest, a young man whom is sent to live with his estranged and eccentric uncle after the death of his parents. His uncle is known for being a bit of a loon by the townsfolk, resulting in many rumors about him. After staying with him for a short while Edward realizes that his uncle is not quite as crazy as people assume after being attack by what apparently is a dark spirit and saved thereafter saved by his uncle. It is from that point on Edward begins training as an exorcist to take on the mantle of guarding the city from the dark entities in place of his sickly uncle. The story spins out from there, following Edward through his childhood and into adulthood as he progressively becomes stronger and more in tune with the spirit world. It develops over several distinct arcs, ranging from possessed teachers kidnapping schoolgirls to a tournament fought between the exorcists of the world and much much more.

The setting of the game is primarily the city in which Edward and his uncle reside and the outlying areas. The are of course a few exceptions, the main one being the spirit world in which much of the game will be spent at certain time. I still have a lot to work out so this is subject to change but for the most part that's what it'll be.

This game is still very early on, like I said I'm still story boarding, so much of this is subject and there is a clear lack of content at the moment. I truly hope I do not upset anyone with this post, and once again thank you for your feedback.
  3. It<s good having a story as template before making up a game. Even if you plan not making it all linear. It gives real grounding structure. I like it!
  4. Hey, I'm in the concept design phase of a project. I just got VX Ace from the Humble Bundle and spent some time exploring it. I already have my design written out and everything, but I would appreciate some feedback on my synopsis. It is only a few short paragraphs since it's not the full script, but it gives the broad idea of the game. The game is a cyberpunk game, and the entire storyline is here, so everything past the first two sentences is a spoiler.

The player takes the role of a person in the distant future where corporations control society. He works as a spy for a biotechnology firm and is tasked with infiltrating a rival firm to steal employee records in a bid to identify their agents in the same field.

    Spoiler
The mission goes relatively smooth and he is able to reach the server where the records in question are stored. Not long after, a strange message is broadcast over the radio, ordering a strike team to the same building he is in. These teams are only deployed for emergency missions, and they always end with some amount of people dead. Suspicious, the protagonist tries to find an answer and discovers that the records he just stole listed him as a mole. He triggered a trap.
As the protagonist makes his escape, all communication is cut off in an attempt to trap him in the building. Without any support or guidance, the protagonist slowly makes his way through, avoiding the full force of the security system as well as the large team of assassins targeting him. As he nears the exit, his radio suddenly cuts in again, but the voice coming over it is unfamiliar. The voice describes itself as an ally, and the only way the protagonist can escape alive. With no other choice, he has no choice but to listen.

The voice explains that it works for an outside organization that wants to liberate the citizens of the city from corporate control, but it needs someone on the inside. If the protagonist wants to escape, he needs to complete one more mission. The voice fails to mention that this is the most difficult mission any agent has ever taken. The protagonist is tasked with infiltrating the central utilities office and break into the core server farm. Once there, he needs to inject a malicious virus into the servers that will force them to fail, shutting down all power and communications in the city. Once that is done, the player needs to make his way to the roof of the building where a helicopter will be waiting to take him out of the city. Obviously, this mission is successful and the protagonist is able to escape the city on the helicopter and end the episode.
  5. I so thought you'd twist he finale around!
  6. Marquise, you refer to me? This is actually the first episode of a larger work. I have the second episode in my head, but I don't want to stretch myself too far.

    Spoiler
In the second episode, the player returns to the city by bus and gets arrested once he arrives. An incident occurs while he is in jail, and he escapes because a military unit arrives and starts killing everyone. He needs to try to escape the city and avoid the law, but eventually discovers what is happening: the group he helped in episode 1 has taken control of the government and implemented a totalitarian regime that is Fascist in its implementation but Communistic in ideology. He is secretly the most wanted person by the government because he is the only link to the events that gave them power, and they want to rewrite history a la 1984. Over the course of episode 2, he encounters a rebellion and has to choose one of three endings:
    1. He joins the rebellion and helps them overtake the government. He becomes part of the new government, but as is the way with these things, his regime becomes just as bad as the two he helped to overthrow.

    2. He fights for the rebellion, but disovers the reality of the situation and is killed in an attempt to make things right. His life is lost, but the city finally settles down into relative peace and stability. Since he was the only remaining threat to the government, and his rebellion was crushed, there is no more threat to their power and they no longer see a reason to carry on with their fascism. They aren't perfect, but nothing ever is.

    3. He escapes the city with his family, who he discovered was still alive and still there. They manage to get out safely, but the city doesn't change. The government is still in power, the rebellion rages on, and the whole situation devolves into a civil war that never really ends. Even though he made it out, he has nowhere to go and his family has to live off of the land. Maybe I'll expand this ending into another episode, but I already have enough content for two games.
  7. Yup! oooooh
  8. I've gotten some feedback from friends that tells me this is an interesting idea but now I want the opinions of outside people before I start actually making the game in VX Ace.

I hope I format this post right.

Game Title: Pokemon Careers (originally Pokemon Nurse but that was too specific)
    Genre: Adventure RPG sorta

    About Me:

I've wanted to be a game designer since I was 10 years old and have had a natural affinity for it since that age (I made my first rudimentary game design at that age before I knew what it was). While I own a lot of game engines on my laptop, the only one I've had complete experience with making a game in was Multimedia Fusion 2--now known as Clickteam Fusion. While I prefer that engine I don't have the means of owning that particular one, so the ones I own are smaller, cheaper engines like Gamemaker, RPG Maker VX Ace and Unity.

I'm currently trying to learn how to use RPG Maker since ultimately I would like to make predominately RPGs in the future, and the best way for me to do that is usually to just make a game--and also try to break the program at the same time.

    The Game:

Because I work 30+ hours a week and starting the 24th I'll be taking 13 credit hours of college for the first time EVER AND be working ~20 hours per week, I didn't want to have to get too deep down and personal with custom spriting, since spriting has always taken me an eternity to do and it's something I'd rather save for games I plan to commercially release.

So instead for my test game I decided to make a non-commercial fan-game that'll help me get used to VXA's interface and script functions as well as get me somewhat familiar with the idea of how the heck one goes about replacing the default tilesets with ones you actually want.

For my game I chose Pokemon but rather than attempt to make a whole complete Pokemon version like I've seen many others do, I decided to go a different route with mine, inspired by a post I saw on Tumblr that talked about what it'd be like to be a vet tech in the Pokemon World. Thus, Pokemon Careers was born.

    Setting/Story:

The hub of the game will be based around a Pokemon Center. Upon starting a new game the player will be presented with character creation options that include pronoun preferences (He/Him/His, She/Her/Hers, They/Them/Their and Xe/Xim/Xir) followed by gender and appearance options such as race and finally followed by a choice of career.

Within the Pokemon Center, there are 4 career paths a player can choose to become, all with unique systems and rules. A player can either be a Nurse, a Responder, a Catcher or a Runner. Nurses are restricted to only being able to exist within the Pokemon Center itself, however because they're Nurses they have access to THE ENTIRETY of the Center which the other paths do not have access to (they can only ever see the front desk area). In contrast, the other 3 paths are able to travel outside of the center and explore the town and some surrounding areas. Responders go out and seek injured Pokemon and determine if they need to see the Nurse, Catchers--distinctly different from trainers--go out and recruit Pokemon into the Center's Pokemon Help from either the surrounding breeders or the occasional wild encounter with a Pokemon and finally, Runners are the errandboys of the Center. They get the secretary coffee and make sure the Center remains stocked with all the items it needs to run efficiently and is the only career to offer a crafting system.

While the different careers vary in certain mechanics, all of them will utilize a job/quest system that's given to them by the Secretary and the jobs/quests that are available to the player will vary depending on the career chosen (for example, Nurses will have quests that involve the care of various Pokemon that are in the Center as well as more difficult ones like performing medical treatments where as Catcher quests will tend to be something along the lines of "We need a Pokemon to help promote happiness in our patients. Go find one!").

For all paths, there is a title and rank system in place and the win state is reaching the highest rank possible while the fail state for each path is failing too many quests, resulting in the player being fired.

Story-wise, I'm still working on those details but so far the basic idea is that each path's story is unique. Nurses will have always wanted to be one and their tutorial actually takes place while they're still in PokeMed School, since that path requires a lot of pre-knowledge of the Pokemon series itself. Runners, meanwhile, are people that didn't know wtf they were going to do in their life with the few meager skills they have and only applied to the Pokemon Center because they figured why not and were surprised when they got hired. Their tutorial is the Secretary running them through how their career path works (Runner is also the path to pick if you really wanna be buddies with the Secretary lmao).

    ----

And that's basically all I have right now. I'm working on fleshing out a complete game doc to detail all of the career paths in both story and mechanics. And since this game will be completely non-commercial when it gets done, I'm taking care to make sure any resources I end up using are likewise free for non-commercial use. So far I have a few music pieces I got from Newgrounds as well as some sprite sheets from Spriters Resource and DeviantART. I also have a small handful of scripts I found to (attempt) to use in the game.

What I want to know is if this concept sounds interesting to people that aren't my friends. Do people more experienced with VX Ace and its limits see anything that would 99% likely be impossible to ever achieve in this engine? (I already know the game is A LOT and will probably make the program cry but I wouldn't be testing this program out correctly if I didn't try to develop beyond what it's made to do or handle.)

    Thoughts?
  9. The only pokemon-related game I've played so far was Pokemon Crystal, so I have an idea of the kind of game-play you're trying to implement.

What bothers me is that I'm not sure if RPG Maker is the best platform for your game. The game-play sounds pretty linear from a player's perspective. I don't see a main plot/quest yet (not the same as story), and thus it feels different from normal RPGs. It reminds me of level-based time-management games; look up Alice Greenfingers if you want an accurate example.

Secondly, a title/rank system (and maybe you have an achievement system as well) tends to work best if you're playing a competitive mmorpg. Because otherwise, it just kind of feels boring, imo.

I apologize for raining on your parade, but I'm just putting my opinion forward. Maybe once you've shaped up your concept a bit more, it'll be easier to give a helpful review.
  10. No apologies needed! I'm looking for outside opinions and you provided one, so I thank you!

The main plot/quest for each career path right now is to ascend to the highest position. To do that you have to complete smaller tasks/quests and get better at doing your job. I do plan on having more of a story interspersed between sections where you do jobs--it's a lot like the Mystery Dungeon series actually. The PMD series uses repetitive jobs and after you complete so many or raise to a certain rank you then advance in the story. I plan on having a similar mechanic to that. It's just that since I'm still planning that part I don't have much to show yet.

I don't know if it will help, but these are the descriptions I wrote up for every career path:

Nurse: The highest paying career path! Nurses are primarily tied to the Pokemon Centers they work at and rarely travel outside of it (except to go home, of course! Usually...some live there instead). Choosing this career path allows the player to play doctor to sick Pokemon. Unique quests will include things like selecting the correct treatment for a Pokemon and executing that treatment, studying up to determine the ailment, successfully doing regular check-ups, etc. Even though they rarely leave it, Nurses do have the entirety of a Pokemon Center to explore and use to complete their various quests and advance to the coveted position of Head Nurse with its promise of even higher pay and job security. Remember, while your tasks might sound boring, failing too many will get you fired, thus ending your game!

Responder: The 2nd highest paying job in a Pokemon Center! Responders are often the first people an injured Pokemon sees before they need to see the Nurse. As a Responder, your job is to answer emergency calls and physically travel to the site of the call. What kind of emergencies do you respond to? All kinds! From an Espurr stuck in a tree to the life-or-death situation of a Zangoose that got too rough with a Seviper. You possess the unique ability to check the Pokemon you rescue in order to determine the severity of injuries. Severely injured Pokemon should see a Nurse, but be warned! Even wounds that don't seem all that serious can come back to bite you. If you make the wrong call too many times, you'll be fired and your game will end. If you do well at your job though, you might even rise through the ranks and reach the coveted position of Responder Captain!

Catcher: A career path that many will find familiar and perhaps comforting. As a catcher for the Pokemon Center, you're tasked with the important job of exploring the world and scoping out possible Pokemon to recruit into the Center's Pokemon Help. Unlike a Trainer, though, you're not battling in order to catch. The best Pokemon for the job are often found at various breeders or, if you're lucky, you might find a wild one in the field that responds positively to friendship. For your protection, this career path is the only one that offers you the ability to have ONE companion Pokemon with you at all times. Since you're the catcher, you have free pick over what Pokemon to send back to the Center for recruitment. However, you have to be reasonable and sensible about this! Send too many Pokemon that don't mesh well with the healing and supportive environment of the Center and your bosses will give you the boot and end your game! But if you develop a good eye for Pokemon that work and prove to be helpful, you just might ascend the ranks to Master Catcher!

Errand Runner: The lowest rung of the career paths, but also perhaps the most engaging for task-oriented folks. Runners spend all their work time just running around and completing tasks--largely for the Center, but occasionally for the town folk as well. Did the Nurse use up all of your herbal potions and now the Center is out of stock? No problem! Runners have the ability to craft items out of various basic componants they can gather through travelling around. Just get a list of ingredients from the front desk and off you go! Did the local old man get his Lum berries stolen by that youngster down the street? You can solve that too! Quests are nearly endless when you've chosen to be a Runner! Solve enough problems and you might just reach the rank of Senior Runner. Careful though! While you indeed have a near-endless pool of quests to keep you busy, keep in mind that some quests have time limits and some cancel each other out, forcing you to fail one. If you fail too many quests, not only will the townspeople dislike you but your bosses will think you too incompetant and give you the boot, ending your game.
Something I forgot to mention before also is that I'm hoping to have choice systems in play that are similar to what the Dragon Age series has. Like.....for example the main one I'm thinking of right now is that the Secretary character is male, but he's also gay. So as a little easter egg/bonus I want there to be a choice system where if a player that chose specific pronoun sets AND masculine appearance sets makes such and such decisions throughtout their game and completes specific, one-time quests that occasionally pop up that activate certain dialogue trees with the Secretary, by the end of the game the Secretary would be like, super flirty and such. But this would only happen IF the player chooses either male or neutral pronouns AND chooses a player sprite option that would be flagged as masculine AND they'd have to be a Runner (hence why in the last post I said being Runner is ideal if you want to be buddies with the Secretary).

That's just one example though. I'm hoping to have others, like I already have a script that'll let me change how NPCs react to the player based on their gender and such.

Also regarding the main plot/quest point the overall theme of the game is determining one's path in life and working for it and the game is meant to show how the player would be doing that and that ties into the fact that each career path's story is different.

I don't know if this further explanation helps at all or not, but again I thank you for voicing your opinion.
  11. Hello!

Like many others before me, I'm new to the RPG Maker community and I'm looking to get some comments and suggestions regarding this Action RPG I'm currently developing.

I've had this idea since ~2008 - 2009 and I had originally planned for it to become a reverse harem, shoujo manga-type thing, but I've done a lot of thinking and tinkering since then and it's become a different, more elaborate beast since then.

I'll try to keep things as clear and organized as possible. Thank you in advance for reading this and I'd really appreciate your feedback!

    Working Title: Chronometry

    Genre: Fantasy, Action RPG

    Gameplay:

    • Angled top-down perspective (ala Legend of Mana)
    • Real time battle with "Ring Command"-style menu system to select actions/items
    • Lots of interacting with the environment for planting, harvesting, mining, etc. as well as solving puzzles
    • Relationships affect battle, quests, and story line (gift-giving may be a thing)
    • In-game passage of time affects battle, quests, and story line
    • I'd like to incorporate mini-games if this is a thing RPG Maker can support (i.e. raising/breeding beasts, resource gathering games, maybe?)
    Premise:

The world, Maega, is alive. At the very core of the planet is a fiery, golden heart that serves as the source of all Life. From its many veins flows raw Life Energy which comes out onto the surface and breathes life into all living creatures. When living things die, their energy flows back into the world (or is absorbed into the being that consumes them) and the cycle of life continues.

Due to mutations in Maega's pulse, some creatures are born with excessive Life Energy which grants them different kinds of supernatural powers. Mutated humans, in particular, are gifted with the ability to manipulate their own -- and sometimes other beings' -- Life Energy which allows them to heal, create barriers, relocate (teleport), and all sorts of other cool, magical things.

These mutated humans are called Horologists and they serve as humanity's spiritual leaders, educators, doctors, and sometimes even politicians. Regardless of where they are in the world, they are respected for their magical powers and level of educational achievement.

Anyway, cutting right to the chase, Narkissos, a powerful Horologist who wishes to unleash the full potential of their powers + discover eternal life + create some kind of cure-all magic, does something completely insane which results in the death of a great number of Horologists. He then triggers a series of terrible events which disrupts the fragile Life Cycle between Maega and all living creatures.

300+ years later, after all but 2 Horologists are left (Narkissos and the princess, Melanie), Maega -- as a kind of last hurrah -- pours an incredible amount of Life Energy into a young baby girl named Phoebe, and it's up to the player to determine whether the 19-year old Phoebe will discover the true purpose of her powers (and ideally, save the world) or if she'll do something completely different.

I acknowledge that this all seems pretty ambitious for a first project, but I assure you that I am 100% determined to make this game happen, even if it doesn't turn out exactly the way I want it to. We've all got to start somewhere, I guess!

I've attached a WIP of Phoebe, in case you guys want to see some art. I was trying to copy the artist Maggi's style (on the left), but it got a little complicated and I needed to take a break!

    (Thanks again for reading!)

  12. Hello every one I'm starting to wonder if my stories suck and if i should just give up while i have barely made the game I'm working on.

Story: The story takes place of three friends living
happily together. All was well until years
when they realized it was time to grow up.
So they trained constantly honing their skills
getting stronger and stronger. Four years have
have passed since they started to train and hone
their skills and are still to this. They never knew
why they were training day in and day out.
They just knew something wasn't right in the
world. So after the years passed by they thought
to their-selves that they had trained for nothing.
They went to go throw away their weapons
then a thunder storm hit the thunder, lightning,
and rain came down extremely hard and really
fast the winds were to powerful for any one
    to walk outside. They thought
"oh it's just one of them once in a lifetime
storms". But they were wrong the
storm never stopped. It's been a whole month
since the storm started. But every where they
went it stormed. The whole world was covered and
flooded. So now the three friends must put their
sword skills, magic skills and battling skills to the
test. And go out and find more heroes to fight along
side them to go find the cause the of the storm
and put an end to the mysterious storm.

I hope i put this in the right place this time so it don't get locked.
  13. Besides grammatical errors here and there, it seems decent. Thing is we (the player) have no real connection to the characters from this. What are their names? Where are they from?  What skills are they honing? If the world flooded how did they randomly have a boat ready? I can tell this seems inspired by the christian myth of the flood with noah so at least there is that. Lastly how are they going to fight a storm?  perhaps a clue about the reason for the storm can be given?

If you want i can give you an example of a rewrite for you.
  14. That would be amazing pleae the characters names are kirito Asuna and Klein im adding anime character in the game the town they live in is NewTown Village and the one causing the the storms are the Sinistras but im not gonna be using the same characters and names as the sinistrals but if i could find battlers of them i'll make them as bosses in different areas if you can redirect me in that direction i would be most grateful Mr. OdinNightOwl sir and anime characters to like naruto ect inuyasha ect you know the works

PS. This is prolly why i always got in F in English class when the teacher told us to right a story.
  15. Merged with Plot & Character feedback.
  16. Sorry about that i'm still trying to learn where the hell certain things go in what topics/posts
  17. If you are unsure where to post something, feel free to PM and ask one of the moderators that are currently online, we won't bite :)
  18. Yea you wont bite...........hard lol thanks i will ill make sure before posting next time ty
  19. PHANTOM ANTIQUARY

    Opening Story Idea seeking feedback

Nestled in the vastness of the cosmos slept the Eternal Infant. From its dreams reality sprung forth and with each new dream the Universe expands and grows ever more interesting. Life was its fantasy but what’d happen if it woke up?

Ancient forgotten legend tells of a fateful galactic event that split the infant in two. The first was the Child of Light, Anima and the other was the Child of Dark, Animus. The heredity of the two required that while one slept the other was awake during which time the one awake had dominion. This gave birth to the Day and the Night.

Anima was a creature obsessed with Justice and Order which lead to her creation of the Realm of Heaven and her creation of the four Deities to aid in her vision. These became known as the Deities of Creation.

Animus was a creature soaked in Chaos and Malice allowing for the creation of his Kingdom of Hell and his creation of his own four Deities. These became known as the Deities of Chaos.
  20. All right, here is the general gist of the game idea I have. What I'm really struggling with are some of the game mechanic ideas or if some stuff is just too much, etc.

You get to name the character (and ultimately decide if it's a male or a female, as the character design is going to be gender-neutral).

Your in a place known as The Tower of Scholars (name may change). You've lived there since you can remember, and are the level of Initiate. Once you turn 18, you are given the ability to take an Examination to rise in rank in the Scholar Tower, to the level of Disciple. The higher your rank, the more access you gain to certain restricted books and knowledge, the more tasks you can complete, and the world grows (as you gain access to more floors in the Tower).

The game starts out light-hearted enough, with you studying for your disciple exams and helping other people out with research. The topics vary depending on the person asking for information, and it's your job to go through the Scholar's Tower and locate the information or book they need and bring it back to them. Subjects can range from that world's lore/religion, to magick, to alchemy, etc. The more you read, the better chance you have of passing your examination (which you can decide to take at any time, it's not required for your to finish all of the research tasks). During your time, you also have two "romance" options: your fellow Initiate Garnet (a pretty but feisty girl) and the head of the Tower, the Grand Master Emory (an incredibly intelligent and easy-going man).

Anyway, the overarching plot is that several of the scholars are being suddenly stricken dumb, unable to remember how to read or speak. In addition, several books are being found with the ink of the words smeared, or the words just completely rearranged or just scrambled. No one seems to know what is going on (except for the higher-ups). Now, here is where it gets complicated.

There are things (spirits, maybe?, idk, and I don;t have names for them yet!) Spirits going around and rearranging/scrambling text, as well as causing the spells upon the scholars. During the middle of your examinations and researching and everything else, you end up locating these creatures, and are forced to put a stop to them yourself.

    Spoiler
The game itself is supposed to be a fantasy-setting rehash of the Biblical story about the Tower of Babel. What is happening in game is that the Gods/Goddesses, whatever lore I come up with, of the land are angry that the Scholars are attempting to ascend to god-like levels of intelligence, and believe that they are becoming "too smart for their own good", basically. So, they are sending down these little spirits to destroy the human language, starting at the Scholar's Tower were the most intelligent people in the world are at.

The Grand Master Emory knows what is going on and is attempting to do what he can to stop it, but only the Scholar's Council know of what is going on.

You, however, during your rise to higher and higher rank in the Scholar's Tower, eventually also learn that information.
    So, what I'm wondering is...

    - The game is supposed to be text heavy. I'm using it as a way to showcase my ability to do both technical writing as well as create engaging and realistic lore. Since this is the case, what subjects would you find most interesting to read about, in a fantasy setting?

    - The main character will need to do combat. What is a new and engaging way to do combat? Would you be interested in utilizing the typical RPG classes (rouge, mage, knight)? One idea I had is that he could LEARN THROUGH BOOKS to be a specific-type of fighter (whether knight or mage, cleric, etc), and you'd level up both by fighting and researching. You could then create interesting combinations of what you'd like to be.

    - What would make the research quests interesting for you? I was thinking that the event characters would perhaps ask you questions about the material you read, or maybe in the books that have been scrambled, it could be a word puzzle or something of the sort, like crossword puzzle-esque stuff.

Anyway, anything you can add to this or suggest would be greatly appreciated. Knowing what sounds good or fun will help me a lot in the long run!

    Thank you!
