  1. Haven't dug into the plugin at all jsut yet but wanted to know if this comes with a way to draw a gif into a menu? In particular I want to draw a gif to replace where an actor image is drawn

You can add animated image (gif) to any scene using script calls. Adding .gif into menu for replace actor image require little programming (to modify menu code and use script call for add .gif instead of default image inside)
  3. Is there any way to make an animated monster transform (using the battle event command) into another monster during battle? Currently, when I use it to transform one of my movie monsters, they turn don't change their movie/gif to the specified new monster.

What version of plugin are you using?

Here is line from version 1.4 changelog:
    • Enemies now changes animation when perform transform

    1.3, the free one.
  6. Thanks for the great plugin! :kaojoy:

I encountered a minor problem when the animation changes from <GIF:x> to either <onAttackGif:x> or <onGotHitGIF:x>. There seems to be atleast 1 frame between the change where no sprite/webm is drawn on the screen, causing minor flicker. Is this fixable?

Another question/suggestion I have, is it possible to add a feature that would allow the enemy to have a casting animation? Something like those previous commands, perhaps <onCastGif:x>, or is it possible to do already and I just don't understand how?
  7. Amazing Plugin, love it so far!

Using 1.4 Pro Version on MZ, is it at all possible to change from a static Battle back to an animated one midbattle?
Tried it with the "SetVAnimBattleBack(FILE_NAME, OFFSET_X, OFFSET_Y)" script call, doing a
plugin command and placing both in a common event but nothing seems to work.
  8. Separate question. WOuld this also work in battle?
  9. Tested the new 1.5 pro, and it works like a charm! Thanks a lot for your hard work! :kaoluv:

    4-12sec loop.
I use buttons to speed up and to change angles etc. There are 3 parallel events that check mouse coordination and adjust hover effect to button+checks the progress of animation with +1 variable using galvs variable bar.
But I no longer playing WebM on my game because it's too problematic and ~30% players can't even play those scenes without having 1-4fps problem during the animation.
Also tested on a fresh project with only one event which plays a movie and erases itself. The same issue reoccur with multiple this type of plugins. Normal "play movie" works fine. Asking players to play on modern gaming pc is a bit too much for such games. It's unfortunate, would love to be able to play normal WebM movies on rpgm but something interfering with these kinds of plugins.
Currently, I use another plugin that plays 6-12 pictures frame by frame. Works fine.

Here's proof I'm not making up stuff. A fresh project, 1 plugin, 1 map, 1event with a single script line and a message box. And I'm not sure if it's only low end pc problem. I think one user with 1080TI and modern CPU had this issue so no idea what's going on. At first I thought GPU is a must, but removing from my main desktop PC gpu, videos still played fine. So no idea what's the pattern which makes videos unplayable on other machines.

Hello, may I ask what the plugin that you are using to play a series of pictures frame by frame is? Thank you!
  11. For some unknown reason, my gif refuses to stop looping. I can start the gif, and I can close it if you just use the delete command, but the gif is always looping no matter what I do.

I downloaded the example and loaded to Mario gif into my project, finding it worked fine and could stop looping. But the GIF I made can't. Does anyone know the reason for this? Thank you!

I can assume that maybe it's the configuration of your .webm file itself is a reason, maybe the looping playback flag is turned ON in it. But I'm not sure.
  13. Can I use this plugin to use gifs as skill animations?

    Oooh yes please!!
  16. I'm sorry for necroing this post but i recently downloaded the "Basic" 1.3 version of this plugin and had a problem. I was trying to add a gif that covers the whole screen and i was able to, but i wanted the dialogue window to be above it and used the Script command
"ShowVAnimOnSpriteset(0, "OO", 0, 0, true)" but the gif was above the windows. I don't know what i did wrong. I'm very new to RPG maker MV.
  17. @Marupan did you check the demo if its working there?
you can manipulate some sprites there called to see how it works and
possible you either move it lower or change the message box to the
middle or top where the sprite is, to see if its below or above.

it has alot of scriptcalls that is possible, but not sure how the gif is called.
but there are ways or a plugin somewhere to set the message box above pictures.

I'm sorry, I am very new and i don't know what demo you are talking about.
The gif is called OO and it displays properly, it's just that it displays above all windows even if i use the script call to display it bellow.
  19. he has a demo to download as well to show all the basic stuff :)
as many authors, complex plugins has demo's available to learn from.
so you might be missing something, if it is possible at least, otherwise
he can add that function to the next update when he got the time.
