  1. Hello my friends

I am totally new to the rpgmaker and my english is not the best so sorry for that...

I have the problem that the edge moves so strange and my maps that I do with Photoshop are so out of focus, I multiply 48 by height and width and then insert the map, I also made a video... but then I still need the maps of the size adjust what I think is responsible for the blur...

    is my technique right?
    Thanks for healp :)

Im working onlay with one level in the parallax mapping is that ok?
    please neeeeeeed healp :(
In the german forums they told me that the edge problem is a bind picture to map thing...
but how i can do that right?
  2. Silly question, maybe, but why are you paralaxing that? A lot of that can be done with events and tilesets.
And resizing tiles in photoshop generally doesn't make them look any better.
  3. i can make more with photoshop and the maps look better or not...?
i think every body works with that ... hmm
  4. Whether it looks better or not depends on what you do. :)
There are games out there with really nice maps that were all made in the editor.
  5. no one else a idea...?
  6. Can you post just the parallax itself?

edit: And then also a screenshot of the map in the editor that you are placing the parallax on.
  7. u mean only the photo of the map that i make with photoshop?

i think that its a problem of the plugin but I can not imagine where the problem is
  8. try
    Orange Mapshot for snap map
and the blurring is because you upscale the map in phostoshop
it will blur by default when you upsacle picture if you know how img work...
better just draw it in editor and snap it out than scaling

    the bug at the edge...
well... I don't know about that...
maybe try set it in new map to check out
maybe some tile data is still there...
  9. ok thanks so i try it with a better scale maybe it works
  10. I think the problem comes from the fact that your picture doesn't fit your screen resolution
always keep in mind what che guevara said : viva la resolution

About parallaxing now, I prefer to use Orange overlay which is very user friendly. I think you'll have less issues with it.

    good luck !
  11. What does the map look like in the editor without the parallax? Do you have anything mapped on it? I'm trying to understand what might be happening at that edge.
  12. I don't understand why you have the parallax loaded and then a common event loading a picture of the same parallax..?
  13. The most important basic for parallax mapping is to have everything in the correct sizes.
    The rules are:

    - Screen size is minimum map size, no map can be smaller than the game's screen size
    - parallax picture in pixel = map size in tiles multiplied by grid size (48 by default)

So please provide us with these numbers:
How big is your parallax picture?
    How big is your map?
What screen size is your game set to?

Additionally, the filename for your parallax picture is wrong
    1) NEVER use spaces in any filename for any HTML5-based game (wich means all MV-Games)
    2) your filename needs to start with ! to disable the parallax move (see help file)
  14. Andar gave you the most pertinent information. If you are intending to make a parallax map you need to make sure that your map size is equal to or greater than your game's resolution, otherwise weird things are gonna happen at the edge of your image as the image gets wrapped into the extra window space. I struggled with that initially.

If you need to keep the map the same size you can deal with the problem by adding negative space to the edges of your parallax image, but that will end up with black bars on either side of the window.

Also, that map has nothing on it that warrants using a parallax. Typically you use a parallax when you want serious movement on your map or you want foreground objects that do not align with the map grid.

    Example:

Oftentimes it can be helpful to load the parallax image in via map settings so that you can see the background while placing events, defining regions and such. Not saying that's the case here mind.

1.My parallax Picture is 768 Pixels
    2.The map size is 16by16 (i multiplied with 48)
3.Where can i check out how big the screen size is?

OMG IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i deleted the space in my filename and added a "!" and it works!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?

ok but now i have a black line in the edge ...

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS AND GIRLS !!!!
    for ya posts/Healp :)
  17. I believe that black line is your parallax wrapping.

The default resolution of RPGMaker MV is, I believe, 816x624

With each tile being a 48 pixel wide and tall square you would need to have at least a 17x13 map in order to not fall short. Your map is 1 tile too narrow. Your parallax image is wrapping 24 pixels on either side of the map.

I use the Yanfly CORE plugin to both check and manage the game resolution. Don't recall how to check without. But if you don't have it your resolution is almost certainly 816x624

Well, yeah, I work with parallax mapping myself, and of course I load it in the editor (VX Ace) so I can add regions events and so on. But from what I can see he has a common event loading the same parallax as a picture. So, it's a parallax (picture) on a parallax. Why??
