I am playing your game. It is nice. But I am stuck at Mount Flarus Boss. I am underleveledas I think because I cannot defeat it whatever and there is no place to grind to levek up.

I playtested all the bosses in the game with the absolute minimum XP you could have at them and with starter gear only on each character to ensure they weren't impossible to beat if you ran from all battles and never upgraded items - that being said, some of them can still be very difficult if you're underleveled or underequipped.

What strategy are you trying against him?
  2. Your game is tremendous! I've only just beaten the cave spider, but there's already been a few optional sidequests and mini-games. I can tell I'm going to enjoy it.
  3. After the fight against Varsena a cut scene starts and the game is shut down by a gamebreaker.

  4. @Tw0Face That's the first report I've seen of that error. Do you have a save file just prior I could look at, with reproduction steps? What was the killing blow of the battle prior? Was Tilana transformed at the battle end? Did the error happen during the cutscene, right as the battle ended, or after the cutscene?
  5. Right after the fight, a cut scene starts in which Tilana and the cleric get into a discussion about Tilana being a monster, etc. Then, when the cut scene is probably over (or passes to the next screen?), the game crashes right after this text box.

Here's a Save. As I couldn't save during the cut scene, the save is before the fight.
  6. I tried it again and this time the error didn't occur.

But well... this game was quite entertaining and well done but now I had to finally quit playing in the volcano. It seems like there's no way to harm enemies in there. Living Flames and Lava Fiends absord nearly EVERY damage (except for Suven's for some reason I don't know about). Even if I break their Fire Shield using Ice Magic, they keep absorbing any physical or lunar attack, so Tilana -in both states- is completely useless against them.

I can spawn the blue form of the witch to have some ice skills but they inflict 7 (!) damage to them, so Suven remains as the last actor that has at least one ice skill that does damage to them. Last but not least, these things heal much faster than I can inflict damage to them.

I had a pretty hopeless fight lasting more than 15 minutes for one single random encounter until I decided it's the best to escape the battle and immediately escape every other random battle including fire enemies. Pretty much every skill that does damage seems to be quite useless as I can't find a way to stop them from absorbing every single hit. I had to read through my whole skill set for several times but still I haven't managed to beat any of them.
  7. @Tw0Face Lava Fiends should take 30% less damage from physical and absorb fire, but otherwise have no strengths. They do heal themselves under 50% health, so you'll either have to hit them with deadly wound to prevent the heal, stun them, or kill them before their turn comes up.

Living Flames should just absorb fire damage and otherwise heal themselves with fireball until you damage them with ice magic (either Heaven's Wrath from Suven or Freezing Blast from Varsena), which will remove their Fire Shield and allow you to do damage normally to them.

Here's a video from my playthrough of the latest version fighting one of each enemy type. If you have a later save file at Mount Flarus I can use, I can try playing it and seeing if I also have the same kind of trouble you had with the enemies and identify why.

EDIT: I ended up using the save file you already uploaded and played through to Mount Flarus and I see what the issue is - Tilana is wearing a Flaming Glove, which makes her attacks do fire damage, healing most of the enemies since they absorb fire damage. You should purchase new weapons for her in Elblum (either Icy Glove(s) or Steel Claw(s)) or equip her with an older weapon that she got before Silth.

Hm, I see. That's probably the reason. Now I can continue the game. Thanks for that.

However, I don't think that an equipped weapon should automatically convert all physical damage, lunar damage and every other damage type into fire damage. I would never have seen through that myself.

I believe all of Tilana's abilities use the element "normal attack", which means the element of all her attacks are just taken from her weapon. I could perhaps look into just making them do physical or holy damage, as applicable, instead of "normal attack".

Of course, if you equip her with icy gloves, she does extra damage with her abilities in Mount Flarus to most enemies - really, if I switched her abilities to not use her weapons, the weapons would lose a bit of flair in having elements attached to them.

You might want to write that information into a dialogue. Varsena could explain to the group that the enemies on Mount Flarus absorb all fire attacks, so she recommends to check the group's current equipment and change it if necessary. That wouldn't give too much away and the player could come up with the right setup himself by trying out what they currently have.

Now that I know how to proceed, I'll continue the game tonight and see how far I get. Have you managed to fix the crash I mentioned earlier? It may be caused by the light script... just a wild guess...

The lights actually don't make use of a script - I drew every map's lights and animate them via picture commands.

My guess is some common event was called that references an enemy or actor, but it was called as part of an ability that ended the fight - which causes the common event to get pushed to the end of the event queue because of the way the update loop works, so that battle end processing fires, then the autorun cutscene executes, then the common event finally executes, but now there aren't battlers, so an error is thrown.

However, without a way to reproduce the problem, I have no way to really investigate and with so many people playing without issue there, I'm just going to call it a rare edge case until someone is able to provide information on how to reproduce.
