And finally, the return of the Deal of the Week, with Katakura Hibiki's MV Monsters Vol 1 for 50% off until next Thursday!

  2. Looks fantastic! I really like the animated stove\fireplace. The whole pack has a nice steampunk vibe to it.
  3. I will definitely be purchasing the Town Of Seasons Interior pack to go with the other packs I have from the same artist. Wait... Does this make me a fan of Sherman3D?
  4. I was disappointed with the regular town of seasons pack, because a lot of the grass and stuff were too bright / saturated for my liking, but I find some of these interior tiles really beautiful - great stuff.
  5. @Mrs_Allykat I love the quality of his work, but I hate the quality of the packs: there's always too few goodies in there. I only buy them on discount :(
  6. @PitjePitjePitje I believe even I have commented on the quantity of materials in some of those packs before. However, this one is actually pretty well fleshed out, save for the "A" sheets (which I usually merge with other A-sets anyway, so a few quality A tiles > plethora of "meh" tiles). Tiles from B, C, and D are pretty well filled out, with an assortment of decorations.

I did pick up this pack, and again Sherman3D included a sample project with the tiles loaded into the said project. Those sample projects don't seem like much, but they are exceptionally handy for getting into the method that the artist intended for utilizing the tiles. Actually, I think it would be beneficial to have a bullet-point on the sales page when a sample project is included. Because any little thing could be the difference between a customer waiting and a customer buying.
  7. @Mrs_Allykat cool, thanks for letting me know what's in there :) And that's a great point on the sample projects, it's one of the reasons (besides the style) that I like FSM so much, since they too come with a project.

Personally I really liked the 'objects' tiles of the original Town of Seasons very much as well, it had a lot of variety and useful tiles IMO. Glad to hear that this is of similar quality.
  8. @PitjePitjePitje After reading through this thread by @HintonR and the several replies to it, I'm beginning to wonder if some of those "light" tile-sheets are there to teach us a lesson about keeping the number of tiles used per map smaller to reduce the memory footprint for the eventual end users of a game?

Also, a number of Sherman3D's tiles blend really nicely with FSM, and in particular the interior tiles usually work really well with the FSM tiles.
  9. @Mrs_Allykat have you figured out how to use the fireplace-graphic yet? I think the frames are placed incorrectly in the sheet, I think they should be horizontal in stead of vertical? But I could be wrong about that. (I couldn't control myself either, and the graphics are very cute. But my original complaint stays, there's not much there IMO. But it blends well with the other interior sets Sherman3D made (especially wizard tiles and steampunk inner, so there's some variety there. Together they make for a very nice interior set, IMO. While the quantity is not great, the quality of the tiles made me buy them anyway :) ) I guess I'm a sherman3d fan too xD
  10. @PitjePitjePitje I was actually rather happy with the B/C tiles. The A2, A4's I prefer having just a few really nice ones that I can use with other A-tiles to build a world with. You are correct on the quality, these tiles look good, and will likely be reused many times over. I'm actually really pleased with this set.

Okay the fireplace is a bit different, you'll have to treat it like a door rather than a simple stepping animation. So, turn-down, turn-left, turn right, and with whatever waiting step in between each fits your project. I seem to remember some discussion about doing it that way compared to the stepping animation, but the "why" escapes me at the moment. :p
  11. @Mrs_Allykat and @PitjePitjePitje The advantage of treating it like a door is that you get 4 frames of animation, instead of just 3, so it is more varied and smoother.
  12. Quality of preview images are sooo bad that I can't even see which style it is drawn... Does it fit standard RTP style?
  13. I just received an email detailing the Steam Weeklong Sale and also advising of some free character generator assets to celebrate MV reaching 300 000 units sold. Can anyone tell me how to access those assets - they look brilliant, but there is no download link or instructions on where to find one.
  14. Looking wonderful!!
Really waiting for a long time.
