  1. Since there wasn't many Ancient Roman graphics for my game, i decided to give a try and do it myself. I know these aren't top quality resources but i am quite happy with the final result. I made these for my game, but since i almost never finish any of my rpg maker games, i though why not share them?

  2. I'm impressed that you actually said 'legionary'
  3. To use Hoplite sprite and battler; credit tarcisiocm and Super Stick Lyonn?
  4. Do you have any more like this? My first game will be a fantasy game and 2 of the main civilizations are based of Greece and Rome. (Japan and Ireland are amongst the others)
  5. @SunDog, did you follow the link back to SuperStickLyonn's original resources?

Ancient Japan stuff is available in my Japan resources list.

The link is busted - ( I hate the editor here! ) - give me a minute and I will get it.

    ****edit****

Well, darn, the ancient Japan resources aren't in there:

    Japanese Resources,

    I will find them....

are you looking for classical battlers or sprites, btw?
  6. Thanks Grandma Deb!

I thought I combed your topic but I apparently missed quite a bit.

I can use anything you have, my art skills haven't improved much in the last 20 years.

@OP, I am fixing to attempt to make some more Greeks from your hoplite. If I succeed I will post them
  7. OK, here, I made 3 colors and gave the bottom row Hoplons (shields). I tried to get more of the bronze age look.

I had to distort the image to get the bounding boxes to work properly.  They shouldn't look too out of the ordinary though.

No credit needed but let me know if you use them
  8. You didn't have to distort anything, Ace supports sprites of any size. Just figure out the space you need for the image to fit in (make sure it fits each of the frames of the sprite) and work from there. For example, let's say that he's taller now so you change the size of the space of one frame from 32x32 to 32x40 to make room. The image for one sprite of Ace's RTP characters is 96x128, so with the taller sprite the image needs to be 96x160. Each frame needs to be placed appropriately inside a 32x40 space because the program divides the image up according to math.
  9. Those are pretty cool. :)

Can you explain that better? I keep getting this bounding box problem. It doesn't bound properly unless I extend the canvas to 4x the width and 2x the height.

  11. Did you put a dollar sign in front of the file name?
