Lets Build Diabo Styled game in MV. Large (PV) Sprites, Pixel Movement and ABS.

  1. Hi guys, I've decided I'll build a complete tutorial on building a game using sprites bigger than the 48 * 48 standard, add pixel movement and generally do it over a series. Here in Part 1 we'll be dealing with basic set up, arranging and getting the game prepared along with building the character.

    This is a long series and will involve many plugins that are freely available.
    For the sprites instead of designing them from scratch I will be using the PV Games ones (and tiles too) but I decided to post it here because these tutorials will work with many different styles and assets and hopefully everything can be learned from it.

    If you are using PV Game Sprites, I highly recommend the character creator software available from Martin. Sadly I can't post links to where its located due to tos.

  4. This is awesome! The map puts me in mind of old Diablo-style action-RPGs. I'm gonna have to try my hand at this.

  6. Ive restarted this after my youtube being hacked and erased. Probably a good thing as there has been massive changes to the assets and now I can base the tutorials around those.
