Just one picture on this update as I haven't really done anything other then watch anime for the last week (or sleep. so much sleep) but a line art this time so more work then usual? maybe? anyway.

Most of February and March were spent sick or recovering from being sick (it's amazing how much work you can miss in 2 weeks) but still drawing. The goal of one sketch a day for the year is out the window tho.

Totally late but yes! I went with something a little different then my usual source of mythological beasts and looked up Central and South American monsters. =]

Some sketches for the last week.

End of November update. Pretty much nothing beyond my monsters but I did mess around with some humanoid monster designs. Wanted to keep them looking human still which of course meant I hated most of them.
This was the only tolerable sketch out of the bunch but never finished legs. Oh well, on to productive stuff.

Too sick the last week to really focus on designing monsters so was playing around with Clip Studio's symmetry again which ended up spawning a sort of character sheet for the narrator for Verloren. Kind of made me think of the dress up dolls online.

Verloren? That means n 'lost' in Dutch haha . Wonder if thats intentional or coincidence? Lol

Haha cool. Don't see Dutch being used that much, usually ppl use german so it kinda stood out lol

lol Yeah, most people tend to use German (although I think verloren is also lost in German, not 100% on that though).
Just been using it for a while as a part of the names for a bunch of short stories.

Yeah its also lost in german but less used somehow and being Dutch I read it as Dutch automatically lol

Well, makes sense you'd see Dutch first. lol The word has a nice sound to it (to me anyway) so I kind of ended up re-using it repeatedly.


And got distracted from monsters (so much for the goal of once a week) but here's some more Verloren related artwork. Squid looking guy is supposed to be a defeathered version of the artichoke-haired but debating on scrapping the second guy's parts of the story altogether.

Other then the background/battleback I've been messing with for the last few weeks, haven't really had the time to do much but managed a sketch to relax today after braving the insanity that is pre-xmas crowds.
