IMPORTANT! People that have been using Kaus's "Asteria Tileset" DO NOT USE IT!!

@Cel: There is an upcoming tileset DLC for the Season Pass due sometime this month according to the time frame. You can check the screenshots for info of the tileset after it's been released and see if it'll be useful for you. For now, we don't know what it contains, but it might interest you anyway. From what I understand, the packs will be released separately once all the packs for the Season Pass has been completed:

Also, POP! Horror City packs have been updated with MV sized tiles and sprites too, but they're of a different style if you're interested.


I heard that the DS packs are being remade to fit the MV resolution as well, but there is no ETA as of yet. And yes, it's a different style from the MV RTP, sadly.


My heart goes out to you and everyone who were involved with this issue, and I can honestly say that I know how it feels like to be duped. I wish you all the best in your projects.

Unless someone is using Orange HUD for that, I don't have any plugin for parallax mapping. I looked into Kaus' plugin and it seems ok.

There are lots of scripters who already has a different parallax mapping script out there better than his. Leave his stuff alone and don't use it.

What a shame. If only he stuck to what HE made he wouldn't be under fire right now :p  
I was eyeing those tilesets too but now he can go edit himself. 

I emailed him asking for a refund. We'll see what happens.

Well, the cave entrance is from a Deviant Art artist called Ainama, who appears to be making art for his/her own game. http://ainama.deviantart.com/art/Cave-entrance-and-stones-267398506


You'll notice those stones near the cave entrance are exactly like these stones in Kaus' set.


I bet a bunch of the artwork came from people on DA and probably quite a few Japanese RPGMaker artists.

I noticed this weeks back when he posted that Ice Cave tile-set, I should've flagged it then. But I'm 99% sure, some of those tiles were ripped from a commercial game Ni no Kuni. http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/38013/ I no longer have his tilesets, so I can't compare. xD.

 I disagree.


What this man has done is simply unforgivable to artists and shows that he has absolutely no compunction in defrauding others. This is also not his first time doing it, which makes him a known thief and someone who will clearly do this without any conscience, until he gets caught- and even then, he won't admit his guilt fully. 


He has no place among decent people. Run him out. IP ban him. Make the word known so others can avoid him. Once, it's a mistake, twice, an unrepentant crook.

@mlogan I never said she didn't post proof though. I said she accused him of more than she could prove which was my main issue with how the post was constructed.

Okay, but what you called solid proof is the exact same thing that Celianna posted originally. As for the rest, she was simply saying that she believes more has been ripped but can't find the proof right now.


Nevertheless, it doesn't matter. If he had only ripped one item, the outcome would be the same, particularly given his history. We do not tolerate art theft here, period, and my personal opinion stands that because of this situation and the past, his word cannot be trusted.


I understand that many of you are not wanting to have to recreate large portions of your games. I get that. It sucks. And whether you continue to use them or not is your choice. But I would not want to support in any way someone who has no qualms about committing fraud.

She said she knew but couldn't post proof. Knowing and suspecting are two different things. I do agree with him not being allowed back here, though. I just don't agree with not letting him say his part before saying farewell.

So when I say I'm certain several tiles have been stolen, I just can't find the source. That's what I mean. I'm not accusing him at random - I'm an artist and recognize plenty of the artwork he's used, it's just that I can't recall the original creator anymore.

Yeah walls aren't a direct 1-to-1 rip, but they were editted. Definitely same colorscheme.

And since the "missing" proof has been posted there's nothing left for me to argue about except ban policies, which is a forum policy so there's no point in arguing that.
