  1. Oops! I did it again! Rolled up quite a lot of updates for Immortal Sins. Didn't have many content additions, but it did receive a lot of technical and quality of life improvements. You can see the change logs via a link in the launcher.

Here's a super condensed version of the changes:
    • Various technical improvements.
    • Overhauled the notification system (for stuff like items received from chests and the like).
    • The Quick Load option returns from the original edition of the game!
    • The Bug Report option on the main menu was replaced by a feedback widget (accessible via Ctrl-Shift-F).
      • This also has the option to add a screenshot.
      • A new crash screen is also included.
    • Adjusted the behaviour of the enemies when the player escapes a battle. They should now be passable, regardless of if they were the ones that triggered the battle or not.
      • Also fixes the issue where some enemies in some dungeons would block the player's path.
    • Northbridge has been replaced by the Starboard launcher. The new launcher is faster, smaller, and more flexible.
    • Various visual, performance and stability improvements.
  2. Released a minor update to Immortal Sins (Windows only):
    • Tweaked the Quick Load option so you can enable it even if you don't have saves (it will launch normally until you re-launch the game after saving).
    • Updated dependencies for better stability and performance.
    • Updated to .NET 9 again, now that the issue with the automatic error report is fixed.
    • Under the hood changes for future features.
  3. It's been a while, hasn't it?

While I am focussed on a new project and Cook Tool, I wanted to give a bit of a refurbishing to the game. This is primarily due to performance improvements incorporated to Starboard, alongside overhauls to Cook Tool Deluxe (which is used to create newer builds of the game, including this one). You won't notice much, but you will see vastly improved launch times, and some fit and finish updates. And thanks to the overhauled Cook Tool, I was able to fix the occasional regression where the particles wouldn't render.

    Changelog:
    • Vastly improved performance for Starboard.
      • Re-worked the file check system.
      • Overhauled the compression library, speeding up decompression times.
    • Moved the "Play" button (alongside other related features) into a "Game" menu.
    • Updated renderer to 0.102.1.
    • Under the hood changes to the engine.
    • Addressed a build issue, which would cause the particles to not render properly.
  4. I like the Story and the Characters. I only made it to the caves so far. The game definitely has a professional polished look to it.
