  1. It all looks great. I'm going to use a few things and just to let you know.

It's for a few small projects (NC I guess) Keep up the good work.
  2. It's October, and that makes it the perfect time for me to make spooky sprites.  I made a skeletal dog SV battler for a resource request by BlueFlamePrince, and ended up making a normal sprite for it.  So today we've got two versions of the skeleton dog, one with a collar and one without, and if that's not spooky enough for you we've also got a terrifying devil dog to scare your heroes.

As always, happy game making!  :rwink:
  3. @hiddenone your work is seriously phenomenal and inspiring. Thanks for sharing all of your amazing stuff with the rest of us. It really is appreciated and your work has helped me to learn SO much about the do's and don'ts of pixel work. :D

((and the Skeleton Dogs are so adorable! I want to give them a bone... but that seems cannibalistic?))
  4. Ahh! Those skelly-dogs are awesome :D
  5. Hi, I really love what you and Avery have done there, some really nice work. I like to use them in a game that I will commercially release, so I would make sure to credit you and send you a free copy once the day arrives, but it probably will still be some time until then (not long that I started my game)^^ I absolutely love the beast parts, I wont use them for my game since there simply are no beasts, but they are so beautifully done I almost wanted to put some in just for that reason :p
  6. @palinskyjoe  I'm glad what I've been making has been helpful!  And as long as the bone isn't from a dog, I think it'd be fine to give the skeleton dogs.  Just feed them the bones of failed heroes. :p

@DTracy3  Well, you could always put the beastmen in as costumes that some people wear.  Who doesn't love wearing heavy outfits of fur? :p

Well, you guys are too much sometimes.  I had noticed this thread was getting close to 100,000 views, so I thought I'd try to do something to celebrate it.  I started planning, and figured that maybe I'd hit it at the end of next week.  I went away for 1 day, and y'all crossed that threshold.  So all my planning went out the window.  :guffaw:   Instead, we'll be celebrating with a callback to what got this thread popular: beastmen.  I decided that it's been long enough, so these beastmen deserve to be able to settle down and have some little critters.  Now you can have beastkids running around your towns!

And here are some templates so that you can dress them up yourselves.

Thank you all for your support of these resources.  It's always great to see what y'all can do with them, and I can't wait to see what you guys will come up with in the future.  Happy game making!  :rwink:
  7. you are freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I've been in the process of moving for the last two weeks, so I haven't been very active on the forum. Was pleasantly surprised to come back to find your two latest additions. Great work, hiddenone!
  9. Do you guys know what day it is?  It's this thread's birthday!  It's been a year since I started working on these pieces, and I'm happy that I've been able to keep making new things to share with all of you.  So as a present, I've got a load of new things to share!  First up are some new sprites: a kimono-clad woman, goblins, and some Chinese-inspired jiangshi. Click on the goblins and jiangshi to download all their sprites (if you only want certain ones, you can find them in the first post).

Next up are some new generator pieces!  The orc pieces have been turned into generator parts, and I've also made some monk-like outfits to go along with a new straw hat.  You've also got a bird beak to use to make some avian people.  These pieces are made with the MV update 1.3.2 in mind, so if you haven't updated then you will need to renumber them.

And finally, I've updated all of my generator parts to work well with the 1.3.2 update.  I've renumbered my pieces so that they won't conflict with other people's parts.  I'm taking over the 600 range, so hopefully no one else tries that.  If you already have my parts installed, you should remove the old versions and then install my new ones.  And if you haven't updated your MV, then you will have to renumber my pieces yourself to get them to work. I've also updated the variations to show an 'H' or an 'A', to let you know who you have to credit for the pieces ('H' for 'hiddenone', obviously, and 'A' for 'Avery' if you use the portrait piece).  That should make life easier for y'all to keep track of things.  :)

Click here to download all of the pieces.

Thank you all for the great year, and I hope the next year is great too!  If you want to give this thread a present of your own, why not show off any of my pieces in a game screenshot here?  I love seeing how my stuff is used.  Happy game making!  :rwink:

  14. @hiddenone OMG... This is amazing!!

Thank you for making the straw hat!!

    You rock  BD :rock-right:
  15. @hiddenone you da' man!! Any plans on added the Jiangshi hat to the Generator as well??

    :)

    -Mia
  16. I like those beastkids !
  17. These are dope!
  18. @Miacuro  Sure, that's not tough to do.  There isn't a portrait piece, and the hat doesn't work well with spiky hair types, but here it is.  :)

  19. Thanks @hiddenone!!

You really are my hero lately!! My main project uses hats for Job Classes (via Dragon Quest series for FF-FHOL's Crown system), so the more hats the better!!

ill probably be using this hat for my Oracle class.. which means I can give the very "witchy" hat I'm currently using for that class to a new/different magic class!!

thank you and thank you again!!

    :)

  20. I was wondering if I could get these files as a compressed ZIP files rather than RAR files. I would love to use these, but my computer HATES RAR files and refuses to extract them. I have the same problem with many other types of files, but it's most common with RAR files. I have looked online for free extractors but most of them I've reserched and have the potential to give viruses. I recently got rid of a Virus on my computer, And i'm not too keen on getting another one any time soon.

If there's any way to accommodate me, I would be very happy!

Also, I haven't been on here in a while, And I'm not sure how dead this post is. If it's dead, i think there was a rule about not posting on it, So i'm fine with this getting deleted, as long as i'm not ignored. I'm sure there are other users like me out there who struggle with RAR files and would rather use ZIP.
