  1. Good morning, @cthulhusquid dear! I don't know what y'all put in my coffee today, but YO MAPS LOOK REALLY GOOD! :kaoluv: :wub :wub
  2. Day 2 of working with MZ3D. Pardon the blur but I'm having trouble getting a good screenshot of these large buildings :kaoeh:

I'm using WinLu's red Fantasy Outdoors tileset. Sooner or later I'll have to figure out some battlebacks that match.

  3. @cthulhusquid Those maps are nice.

This is the traditional time for tea in England. I hadn't realised that meant that we were in heaven, but I'll take your word for it.

@bookco When buildings are isometric like that, you would see the side roof and side walls in the same perspective, unlike ordinary RM buildings where you don't. Unless you put them in they are going to look one-dimensional.

The slope function affords a top() and a side(), but you can’t stack slopes since they always have a flat base, so I have tried and failed at making an awning that’s visible. I’m still learning, but I think that, for buildings that tall, it might be out of the question, AFAICT, I might be wrong though.

This is what happens when you try to set the slope side() to the roof tile at 1AM out of a confused attempt to solve the problem:

Wait, it is? I was just guessing there.

Oh, it gets far far worse!
    Spoiler for just how clumsy!

  8. Can you guess what is the catch with this map?

    Spoiler
I wanted to see if I can get away with mixing stuff from all XP, VX Ace, MV and MZ on one map without people noticing the different styles at the first glance. I uses RTP only, and only slightly adjusted the stuff to have the art styles fit better. Did you notice? Do you think it works? And can you see which parts come from which maker?
  9. Weird shadows... and "yes, I am the fat king who cannot take a seat because I am too fatty as to fit there", the king uttered.

Concerning the previous screenshots, man, you better fire that priestess at once!

Clearly someone didn’t use your sitting on the chair tutorial.
  11. @Avery I sure didn't see anythin' amiss! So I guess you cud say it's a successful RTP mashup! :kaoluv:
  12. I can recognise some XP things (suits of armour, small table with plant on it, the stairs maybe?) but I'm not familiar with MV at all, and only a bit with MZ, so I can't really distinguish between them. However, I think it's a successful mash up.

On the king and throne issue, I assumed before reading other posts, that he was standing in front of the throne, not sitting on it. Everything is perception.
  13. I assumed he was sitting on the throne because of the "standing is sitting" thing with RPG Maker.
  14. Finally managed to make a map that I'm proud of. (Though I'm still iffy on the lighting.)
    The map in question.

  15. @BobbyLily That's a lot of empty space. Are you sure you need all of it? And the long empty corridor on the right?
  16. @Kes The current purpose of the corridor on the right is that it serves as an entrance to a secret mini-dungeon thing. Also I get the empty space thing, looking now there's a bit too much of it lol.
  17. Hi! I'm old in the site, but this is my first post. A map of my personal project. :)

  18. @Raony Lovely tones and atmosphere to that. But my eye keeps telling me that there's something off about the perspective of the ruined shrine(?) in comparison with the trees. I could be wrong, but it's an impression I cannot shake. It's as if it has been slightly upended.
  19. @Raony Congrats on your 1st post! All I can say is that if my maps look even half as nice as this, I will be insanely happy!
