@Juanita Star looks good. 2 things tho, you should ad some shadow and light to it a bit and its a big large. But for a first parallax map its pretty good :)
@Mr. Detective i would go with the 2nd but perhaps have a soft white out line on the red line?

I can confidently say that I suck at lighting xD I have no idea about it. I tried, but... yep, not my thing at the moment. But I do want to learn how to! Been scouring the web for tutorials.
I do think is a bit large. Like, four or trhee tiles too large. Is that emtpy espace in the midle that bothers me xD No idea what to put there. Emtpy space is my bane. -
@Juanita Star personally I would not have made the room a square, instead I would Just remove the lower right section entirely. Leaving an upside down L shape room which is visually more attractive and smaller.
A tip when doing interior maps I use myself of to see each tile as about 3feet (little less) in real life. You'll find that this works pretty nice in keeping rooms smaller - ofcourse Sometimes youll have to go bigger for gameplay reasons but in general its a good guideline I think. -

Thats a nice tip! I do want it to be larger, since is a royal chamber of sorts. But still hating that empty space in the middle. -
Hey all I'm Takashi and today I have been doing some work on two maps for my upcoming game: The Legend of Kira
・‥…━━━━━━━☆━━━━━━━…‥・
Here is map #1:
View attachment 172234
The inspiration for map #1 came from my love for quiet places where I can just sit and listen to the sounds of nature. This map houses two residences, a Blacksmith named Tim and his wife Natily.
・‥…━━━━━━━☆☆━━━━━━━…‥・
Here is map #2:
View attachment 172236
This map is just a simple yet beautiful forest map that connects the starting village to my games capital city. This capital city will act as a sort of hub for all the player's activities in the game ranging from the player's own house to a marketplace.
・‥…━━━━━━━☆☆☆━━━━━━━…‥・
This game is set to be ready to come out in mid to late 2021. I hope some of you would like to play my game when it is released.
Please comment below if you have any ideas for these two maps or if you have any ideas for the game.
Thanks for reading, and have a great rest of your day. :D

I love the house map. What tileset are you using? It looks great! -
@Mr. Detective, I'd also go with the 2nd one with the bolder laser. I dunno about muzzle flashes, I guess this detail is so small that it doesn't matter? If you can only see it during a brief attack animation, it's something I wouldn't pay attention to.
-
@Mr. Detective I feel like the length of the laser should be travelling across the whole screen, or stopping when it meets an object (though that may prove tricky).
-
So, decided to showcase how my battles look so far on video.

Providing two conceptual arts from my Euphorya project.
The first character presented is our protagonist Asthea. -
First time doing a mine? dungeon from start to finish. Done with a guide, lol.
Its just know that I realize that the brown path is going off very weird... -
WIP - Alchemy System for my project.(Only in portuguese atm)

Alchemy System - Test in Game:
Appreciate the feedback, thanks! -
This floating continent is my game's world, I'd love to listen to feedback. -
@Tuomo L Looks good. Only 2 things that I personally dont like...
1) the weird shadows to the side of the island
2) the flatness of the top part.
Other then that looks good, visually pleasinf :) -

Oh yeah, those shadows aren't in game. I forgot to say, I use plugin to disable them so I don't have to remove them manually.
I agree that the top part's a bit too flat, I'll add something more to it.
Thanks from the suggestion. -
@Tuomo L, so yo floating continent has a floating island in it? I dig it. I also like how compact and contained everything is! Yo winter land is right next to yo desert land, but mebbe your map isn't meant to be all that realistic so I'll let it slide? What I would do, though, is making the river to the north do a few bends, not just run east in a straight line. Jus' my bit of advice!

Thanks from the recommendation, I'll do that. Though that's Wasteland, not desert next to the snow. But yeah, I'm not going for ultra realism, since it's a magical floating continent. -
Hey just wanted to show off a Map I made in MV to hear some feedback, as well as put out my work and see if anyone wanted some help with mapping, I'd love to have some more practice!
Let me know if you guys would like me to update the map with your suggestions to see what I could create!

Looks Great, I feel the Lower Part feels slightly boxed up, So I would say maybe consider expanding it a little bit ? Otherwise, looks Great to me.
-
looks pretty good in terms of overall composition; the buildings lack windows/ornamentation/signage but could be you're doing that on the event layey if at least part of it is dynamic; the barrenness of the surrounding hills is pretty pronounced, maybe they could use some trees and foliage, it depends if you're going for a "minimalist" aesthetic or not, what else...oh, this probably comes to mine because I just discovered the resource in question but PandaMaru's cliff parts could add a lot of verticality and diversity to your cliffs.
-
Thanks for the feedback! I definitely see what you're saying, so I'll play with it some more, I added the cliff towards the end of working on it, so I'll keep in mind that I need to consider space more when I do that in the future!Looks Great, I feel the Lower Part feels slightly boxed up, So I would say maybe consider expanding it a little bit ?
