  1. @Fernyfer775 Yeah I like the simple look with SRD, Galv's a bit squeezed up.

    @Jeffrey Jene I really like the painted look but its going to mean a lot of work with the lighting and shadow consistency.
    really awsome look.

    @Emanzi Thanks! Yes, the lighting is a bit tricky. A couple plugins, especially the OrangeOverlay plugin is helping quite a bit though, as well at "doodads".

    Funny thing is, the art is taking almost exactly the same amount of time as it takes me to do pixel art. Go figure.

    That's a big map and I can tell a lot of effort went into it. It would look really good if you just added some different building textures. Since almost all of the building tiles are the same it kind of looks unnatural-Unless this is a city set in the future or it's supposed to look uniform like a military base or something.

    Unfortunately, there isn't really much realistic, modern building materials in the Future and Zombie texture packs I'm working with, so buildings look similar.
  4. @Emanzi At the risk of going off-topic - this:

    Rouge is a reddish makeup for the face. You mean Rogue.

    Been experimenting with turning a map I had no use for into the title screen of the game, thoughts?

    It's gorgeous! The only criticism I could give would be to make the title and new game text a bit darker. Other than that, it's pretty much exactly what I want to do for my project. Mind if I ask what plugins you are using?

  6. The video above is my in-game new mechanic. The Battleships.

    Destroy all the enemy's cannons, or destroy the ship to win.

    Thank you @Avery and @Gabrelik for the tileset
    @Yanfly, @SRDude for plugins. :LZYsmile:
  7. @FiercestPixel The rules for this particular thread (see the opening post) ask that people not quote whole images or videos, as it slows down the page loading, especially for those accessing this on their phones. Please edit your post and remove the video.
    Thanks.
  8. Awesome work. Is the hit system with these two gauges just based on pure luck, or is there a spot for planned hits on the opponent's cannons or their deck? How many hits can be taken by a single ship until it's destroyed?

    Greetings,
    Tw0Face
  9. @gappyra047 Game Mechanics is for discussing broad concepts, not for showing off your game. I've moved your thread (so including @Tw0Face 's reply) to the Game & Map Screenshots forum.

  10. @FiercestPixel
    Thank you! We have a plugin to skip the title screens (you find tons by googling) and for the blowballs we use Moghunter Weather. Unless I forgot something, I don't think you need more than that to create a similar title screen.
  11. @Kes Wow, thanks. "Rogue" not red makeup. Lol.
  12. @cthulhusquid do you think those tiles would work with some of the available rpgm dlc or rtp? You could even try recoloring some of the wall tiles you have in photoshop.
  13. I'd really like some feedback on my maps, I'm having trouble finding inspiration currently and would like to restructure my World Map a bit if anyone has any suggestions.

  14. Finished another GUI :D

    Sadly Gyazo made the text a bit fuzzy. Normal size is 2560 x 1440.
  15. @Emanzi I like the first UI better than the second. It's always better to have explicit text for menu items than just an obscure icon. Oftentimes an icon isn't sufficient by itself, unless it is an extremely well known icon (like the copy/paste icons in almost every MS program). The UI in the first pic also looks cleaner to me.

    @BCj SWEET!! That looks really nice!
  16. I'd like to share this screenshot of Owlbert who is coming for the rescue of a bunny that got stuck on top of a tree:

  17. @GolfHacker OK, ill avoid using obscure icons and as a bonus Galvs Bust Menu works with Yanflys Job Points and Status Core plugins. SRD has a few hiccups like not showing the face set for the first time when using Yanflys Status Core and not displaying Job Points.

    No face SRD Bug when using Yanfly's Status Core plugin.

    @Phenax
    Awsome tiles! Are you using Moghunters weather EX? I like the blowing brown leaves.
  18. @Emanzi Thank you! Credit for the tiles really goes to Avery (edited her cliffs), PandaMaru (trees) and whtdragon (animal sprites). Yes, it's Moghunter's Weather EX but I replaced the standard leaves with leaves that I thought fit better for the map. The tileset really is mostly a mix of edited RTP and free for use assets.
  19. @Makayta I don't think world maps for games should be looked at as a whole, or at least, it shouldn't be very important compared to other things. It looks fine as a world, but it doesn't look like it'd be any fun to play a game in. Some of the land masses are good, but others have large stretches of traveling to get to the next map point, with nothing much to see on the way, and everything is divided up by large stretches of water. A world map that's fun to play in probably won't look realistic at all, but it'll fulfill it's purpose for being in a game a lot better. Try mapping from the perspective of the player, in small sections, and be sure to test how it feels to travel in. Make sure to include playing through any of the random battles you intend to have, since that can make small distances feel larger. The second map is very pretty.
  20. @Phenax How did you do the puzzle game? Never thought RPGM could do that! :D
