  1. I've improved "working girl" building and made the desk of Madam better, what you think?

  2. Guys! I need your help! Does this look jungly enough?

I'm really not too sure how I should do this! I may have to redo it, and I want to get these maps done as soon as possible, so I can move on to the next dungeon stage! lol.

No offense but it really doesn't, if it's jungle there should be at least 2 times as many trees.
  4. @Tuomo L No offence taken, it didn't look right to me either. mapping in Ace can be so hard for dense tree mapping.
  5. @Paladin-Cleric of Awesome I'm afraid you'll have to either heavily edit a tileset for this purpose or go parallax if you want a denser jungle. 1 tree per tile won't do.

  6. Hopefully this looks more jungle like!

@cabfe I went with parallax, to a point. I'm gonna have to figure something out, but hey, it's a ungle, you can't go into it too far anyway! lol.
@Kyuukon Why did I not see this! that would have been so much easier (except for the ammount of time I'd have to spend messing with events!

Imo that still looks way too open to be a jungle. I've never been in a jungle personally so this could be wrong, but going from pictures basically everything that isn't water or the path should be covered in dense tall vegetation.
So unless this is supposed to be a clearing, you need to add more trees, and more vegetation where the grass is. In fact, jungles don't seem to have much grass at all, it's mostly ferns, bushes and small trees and stuff. (I assume because the tall trees steal most of the sunlight.)
  8. @Elissiarro, it's actually more a main throuoghfare of the land Not a very jungle jungle. (There is one of those in the game, but it won't be in the IGMC version) The area has been very much cleared by the people of the area for easier travel between towns and stuff.
  9. @Amarok As you have several large images, please put them inside a spoiler. It makes the page slower to load and is something of a nightmare for those accessing the site via their phones or with data limits
  10. Trying to make houses. And work with sprites above 32x32. But I'm kind of hating how things look and stressing out too much.

  11. @sleepy_sealion Just to be sure, is the fact that the houses are full front instead of 3/4 perspective intentional?
  12. Something a bit different from me today. I decided to remake the world map from Hydlide on the NES in VXAce. Not sure why I thought this was a good idea, but it did end up being a pretty interesting exercise in how not to design an overworld.

I'm thinking now I should just go ahead and remake the whole game. I've already got the worst part done. :p
  13. @cabfe It is intentional. Though they don't match up with the ground and cliff tiles.

    Thoughts?

Also, here's my current menu design with everyone's final artwork:

  15. Gorgeous!
  16. These are great! The ones that stand out for me the most those that use lighting (very important in general) and depth(mostly things like elevation or buildings). Loads of talent on this site.
  17. Made a new battleback. One of these days I'll learn to make a seamless loop, promise.

  18. @Lorenze I love it!

@Paladin-Cleric of Awesome to make it more jungle/dense forest you might want to add more low foilage and less grass and a fallen tree here or there
  19. My game's protagonist battle animation on testing.
