  1. Hi everyone i just finished this work today i wanted to have some feedbacks thank you !

  2. I quite like the overall effect but question why people still feel the need to use that XP overlay with the palm-like leaves. I think it'd do better without that kind of overlay, especially as the trees you have on the map don't have those pointed types of leaves (If you feel like you need to have an overlay of tree shadows, maybe use a type that suits the trees you're using instead - that is, rounded and not pointy.)
  3. Hi guys, I'm already working on my project and trying the tiles that it fits. But I feel that the house is super empty. Or do you think it's fine like this? I will show you the geography of the house and each one of the zones. Ground floor of the house of the protagonist in his childhood. Tell me your opinion or how I could improve it, eye! I do not want to do paralax mapping please xD.

an acquaintance recommends me to make the house smaller, for the few tiles it has. She tells me that by putting her on, she'll look better.

Thank you very much for the help and sorry for the inconvenience.

    I strongly agree with this.
You could fit 5 tubs in your bathroom, which could work realistically, though it's a bit big imo. But it's 8 if you count the entryway, and another 18 in the laundryroom area.
You can fit 14 tubs in the smaller bathroom. And I won't even try to count for the bigger rooms. (The table in the living room alone is 4 and a half tubs.)
How many tubs can you fit into each room in your home in real life? Or how many beds, or couches? Cause those are also 2 tiles big.

Also you don't have chairs in the kitchen, that could fill a little bit of space.

I do not want a middle class millionaire xD but you're right and I did not remember the chairs really.

and I just realized that I can put an area that is the TV. I will try to reduce the size, I left it very clear with your examples xD thanks for your help.
  6. Working on my latest plugin now which is going to be a inventory scene. Just wanted to share my progress so far, hope you like it! :)

  7. @Nicke - Really enjoying seeing your progress thus far. It's good to see you active again. :)

    New enemy designs and skills.
  8. @Nicke Another nice interface.
I do have one query, however. I see that to browse the items the player needs to use the Q/R buttons. Presumably that is with a QWERTY keyboard. What about the many players whose keyboards differ from that? You might want to think about having a screen at the beginning of the game pointing to which keys those are. See this thread for a discussion of the issues involved and how it might be resolved.
  9. @Brrt I understand that you want to make a house for a rich person, but here's an idea for you. When people have more money, they have AREAS in rooms. Like RUGS, more walls to divide the rooms, a "PANTRY" in the kitchen (it's a small room for food stuffs), statues, art work and the floors could be really nice marble type floors... You house doesn't have much in it that screams RICH PERSON LIVES HERE...
Another area in my short game, this time, a camp or hunting cabin, but I haven't decided what yet... =^_^=

  10. @zacheatscrackers We have only just noticed the content of your post on 4th October. I have removed the link to the video of your cutscene, as the profanity level of the dialogue was well over the PG13 rating of this site. Please keep that rating in mind for future postings.

@Caitlin I would expect the blood on the garage door to have run down onto the ground, in the same way as it has on the notice board.

Given the implied depth of the house, I think you need at least one tile more ground 'behind' it on the left side. I imagine that you were trying to give the impression of an uneven coastline, but at the moment it mucks up the perspective, imo.

Thank you for your feedback i changed the default fog with my own.
  12. Hi all, this is my teleportation map for Corruption. An added peice to the game, which will include an extra number of places that can be visited once you have possession of the Teleport Gemstone. I can't remember exactly where I got the map, so I'll have to google it again, but I know it was free for commercial use, and I added the decoration myself.

Let me know what you think!

  13. @Kes Thanks! I hadn't thought of that, so thanks! =^_^=
  14. Testing something new when doing my inventory plugin. I've been working a few hours with some custom grahpics and I think this looks kinda neat but don't know if I like it. Wanted to share it anyways!

  15. @Nicke I like it overall, just not that fond of the orange lettering but that's just me. Love the border though
  16. @Kes my apologies, I'll keep in mind not to post videos/screenshots with dialogue that graphic in the near future ^^

@Nicke looks very nice! Reminds me of Dark Souls.

The art reminds me of JerkCity so much. Very classy looking game.

Also trying to get movement in game to feel good.

  18. Ok, I KNOW I've been away for a long time and popping in just to brag isn't IDEAL but I am extremely proud of this torture of an area and I need to show it off as much as I can.
It's a 120x90 monster of an exterior (all those areas have actual content, plus extras *hollow laugh*) and it took like three full days or so (and I mean FULL, actual HOLIDAY, "work all bloody day" days). BUT IT'S FINALLY DONE! Through the lighting isn't in yet and I'm terrified of it lagging oh god :kaoeh:
ANYWAY here it is! The old Bluford manor. Tiles are from Nekura for anyone wondering.

  19. @Indrah Impressive map indeed. I can imagine how much work went into this.

There's a tiny bit of tiles that are off though. The house-church in the bottom left has its roof tiles showing the wall behind them in a way that looks odd if intended.
Also: far right, lower area - the green hedge on top of the wall doesn't connect all the way up like it does on the left side of the building.

There are also a few cases here and there where the shadows either don't match the building or are absent, nothing that you can't find yourself.

Edit: When you have a wall surrounding a place, you don't want to have a forest near it. That would conceal any advancing invader until it's too late.
