We might have a new predator for those mermaids.

Advent Calendar Day 18
The 18th day of the Advent has always been special to me because it's also my birthday. While some might worry about their birthday being overshadowed by Christmas, I've found that the generosity and thoughtfulness of those around me only serves to make the experience more special. The outpouring of love and kindness during the holiday season has always made me feel incredibly fortunate, and I've learned to embrace the shared joy of giving and receiving during this time.
And that brings us to today's Advent release, and I'm back with another conversion of one of Thalzon's Static Enemy Battlers into an SV Battler.
This time around is, Insect_24b. I really loved the look of this battler ever since I first laid eyes upon him. I think he can make a great addition to anyone's library of foes that they want their hero's party to battle.
Once again big thanks to @Thalzon for giving his permission to transform a few of his Static Enemies into SV Battlers and share them. Also, I again used part of one of Vibrato's attack waves and edited it to match, so please remember to also include him in the credits.

Well done
-
My god (galactic or otherwise), I have literally been looking for a giant ant to fight for years. You delivered. Thank you!
-
What an utter joy to find this on your page. Thank you for doing such an excellent job.
And happy the rest of your birthday. -
That amphibian is very cool.
Random bit of trivia - the costume designer for The Creature From the Black Lagoon says he was originally inspired by the shape of the Oscars statuette. -
Love the insect! - You've really got a knack for this style!
-
I have just the place to use the mantis. Your work has been amazing, GalacticGod. I am always so impressed when you drop a SV battler of, well, a battler. I never would have thought to do such a thing but you managed to take the idea and make it work flawlessly. Bravo!
-
I love these battlers!! I was really wanting more bug types for my forest areas and you are granting my christmas wish!!

Happy birthday @GalacticGod!
That bug battler is amazing, it would be the perfect boss for a forest dungeon! -
Advent Calendar Day 19
Day 19 of the Advent Calendar. Wow, Christmas will be here before you know it! It's kinda hard to believe that this year's holiday season will soon be behind us. It always seems to go too fast.
That said, today I decided to mix things up and step away from the Character Sprites and SV Battler sheets and try my hand at some tilesets. Nothing too fancy, mostly just some edits of RTP material but hopefully there are those out there that can find some use of these tiles.
Up first is an assortment of trees. There are the typical green trees followed by an autumn version and finally a winter version.

Finally, I have a variety of different types in boxes/crates for one to sprinkle around their maps.

A variety of trees and crates with goodies is always a welcome addition.
-
Every dev needs more trees, and these are a lovely addition. And so nice to have more variety in the boxes department.
Thank you. -
More trees are always welcome! :kaoluv: And more things in boxes are great to add some background stories to houses or dungeons, maybe the heroes don’t want to eat anything a granny’s house if she keeps a box of purple tentacles in the kitchen.
-
I love all of the item boxes. Gives us more variety. Also love the trees. Will be cool for forest dungeons I'm making.

Advent Calendar Day 20
I showcase to you all now, the most feared foe of any hero's party ...the Egg, (an odd one at that).
As the Advent Calendar comes close to its end I have for you now an SV Battler based off of the RTP Static enemy, OddEgg. I thought it would be fun to try and come up with different ways to animate this egg. I particularly like the attack animation where it kinda just throws itself into the air and drops down on its target for its attack, lol.
Anyhow, here it is!
-
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Like you, I think the attack animation is in a class of its own.
I have no idea how I might use this, but I shall definitely devote some time trying to think of one.
Thank you. -
The attack is cool, but I love the sparkly chanting motion!
-
This is pure genius. And hilarity. I can't stop picturing the odd egg in Pokemon now that Misty carried everywhere and wondering if this is how it would be if it attacked.
