The Kickstarter campaign is close to 25% and marching into May confidently! every bit of support helps I've learned so much during this campaign and feel so confident about the scope of the project I want to thank all who've supported me thus far you've inspired me like you have no idea! all info about the campaign is on the title post! -
*walks out into forum*
Great Google-y Moogle-y, We Won.
these past 2 months were an emotional roller coaster, I went from thinking nobody really cares about what I'm doing on some days, to thinking I can be as big (if not bigger) than omori/to the moon/corpse party on other days. However the war is over, My mental state has stabilized, and my vision is clear.
We. Are. Funded!
I purposely planned my campaign to end on my "Friday" so with these 2 days off work I can plan for the future. I do not for a second take this victory for granted. I went on a huge platform where less than 40% of IP's are successful without much of a following or even so much as a demo to show and raised nearly $6000 for an rpg maker title, an engine that some people sell there 20+ hour completed projects for $0.99 as to not overchage possible costumers. that tells me this is a product the public wants and that tells me I owe it to them to roll my sleeves up and work diligently respectfully and logically to produce the best possible game I can and I know I cannot do that alone because everything that has brought Fallen Feather to its current level is thanks to alot of the great people of THIS community.
this is not a brag post, this is a call to arms for myself and all devs here to do our best becuase the dream game in our heads ARE POSSIBLE! I want to be an advocate for RPG Maker, all of us here have the tools in our fingertips and THE tool in rpg maker to build something people from all walks in life can enjoy, we are (and in many ways, always have been) as capable as UE, Unity and other software devs. I will continue to work as living proof of that. After today I won't speak much on the Kickstarter campaign itself outside of updates on the game but I wanted to bask in this moment and reflect. Also shout out to the amazing Something Classic team (Quartet) for giving me campaign advice in the early beginning and Lucky Cat (The Silent Kingdom) as she dominated the Kickstarter Battlefield!
Thank you to all here who donated and showed support you all are remarkable individuals,
May our games be fun and our success be bright! -
I'll be honest this game looks super cool! Good luck with the continued development and congrats on the Kickstarter success!
