Avy's MZ Stuff

Think of it this way.. if Avery put all of their resources into a Zip file.. you'd miss the invaluable excitement of searching through their posts and seeing them discussing their successes and learning experience behind the completely free resources.
It not just about a charset or background.. it's about sharing our knowledge and experience.. inspiration and process.. challenges and creation..

The graphic files aren't the only reason to join a thread. :)

Advent is here!

While traditional advent calendars cover the 1st - 24th of December, there is also a second way advent is celebrated: By lighting a candle on each of the four advent sundays, the four sundays before christmas. Usually they are covered by the advent calendar anyways, but for example this year we have a case, where the first advent sunday happens to be in November!

And to start this festive season, I decided to release a bonus on this day :)
I like Actor 3_2, she has a motherly and seasoned charme to her, an adventurer that has already seen her share in life. And to give you all the opportunity to have her shine in your game, I gave her and her "SF-Version" a full emoset^^

Okay, I really wanted to keep a low profile, but since I filled the whole advent and did not want to wait until it ends and told myself that I have enough, here is another unplanned addition^^'

Basically, I feel like the MZ battlebacks are too limited, but since i enjoy compositing, I took the "Bridge" Battleback and turned it into a "Lake" one. So if your heroes are down for a "Battle with a view", here you go!

I just realized I am not watching this thread. I have no idea how *that* oversight happened. But it has been corrected.

I wanted to say thank you so much for the lovely mouse char! I definately can make use out of that by recreating some of my favorite cartoon characters from the 90s: The Biker Mice from Mars.

Day 1

To start off this season of joy and giving, we have something that was suggested when I asked around what people wanted to see for this event. In fact @raffle had suggested big fountains, and while the result is not super massive, I think we have some timeless designs here that could decorate your temple as well as a modern town square!
In case you want to make them part of a quest, there is also an empty versuin for each, so your heroes can pick up the NPCs request to get all the slimes out of the city's water system.

Which slimes you ask, since MZ does not come with any?
Well, @antega34 had a request for a slime a few days ago, and it stroke a chord with me, as there is no real option for MZ only people if they want to have one. So I decided to expand it a little, give it an eye-less version and a downed variant as well. Since there was some room left on the sheet I also decided to include the classic "slime green" and a more pastelly "watery" shade :)

I am so excited it is finally here! I always love how you often provide variations in your art, such as all these wonderful fountain and slime options that add so much versatility when building our game worlds.

The fountains are a beautiful addition and I love the idea of clearing slimes from a city's water system. I will have to remember that one ;)

Day 2
comes with two very different things!
First we have one of the first things I had made for this calendar, a whole batch of cookies!
And while they probably work for your everyday treat platter as well, I wanted them to be out early, so in case anyone is working on a holiday special, they can implement them without having to rush ;3
All of them come in several variants, topped with a sugar glaze and or chocolate, some with sprinkles and also some that are filled with jam or chocolate :3


The second thing for today is a throwback to last year. Since I had the mermaid bust ready, I wanted to make a matching emoset to make her more versatile, but upon opening the image I felt like the shading was not up to where it could be and reworked the skin first.
With that done, I could add the emoset, filling a new gap in What the MZ RTP is missing and making my own older resources a little more flexible and usable :3 On a side note: @Ariyana over at the German boards also filled one of the emoset gaps with her contribution, but I will update the list in one batch after the calendar is over. There might more gaps be filled, any particular one you are hoping for?





@slimmmeiske2 I don't have that one separated out, it is "just" the one from the SF_Inside_C tileset with a slighty edited base and a recolor^^'

Those cookies are making my mouth water -- yum!

I'm gonna pretend the star shaped one with chocolate on top is actually lebkuchen! :)

The cookies look absolutely delicious! And the cookie cutters are a nice touch too.
