Change Autoshadow to the Opacity you want

  1. Hey,

I was wondering, if there is a script out there that could let you set up how much opacity the auto shadow has. Currently it is at 50% opacity black, I think, but what if I want it to be only 40%? Could a thing like this be done?

I searched for autoshadow scripts, but found only ones that disable them.
  2. Change the "shadow" image in your Graphics/System folder.

If you want to have different shadow opacities, just overlay an image across the whole map as a shadow layer.
  3. I'm assuming Candacis is wanting to change the autoshadows created when you map, not the airship shadow. The shadow image in the Graphics/System folder is the shadow of the airship.

I seem to recall somebody wrote a script that would let you make shadows with rounded ends, but it MAY have involved using region tiles instead of shadows. As far as I know, the shadow layer is drawn by the internal map drawing processes and we don't have access to those scripts.
  4. Yes, I meant the autoshadow tool/process.

Ah, okay, I didn't know that there are some processes that simply aren't accessable or changable. Thanks for the answer. I guess, then a tileset shadow has to suffice.

Zeuz have a a modification of the light and shadow in is script I think if you pm he will be able to make a little snippet for that!
  6. Do you have a link to the script nio? Is it the shadow on the map, or is it a kind of light effects script?

Basically anything to do with drawing the map itself is locked away, so making changes would be difficult.
