  1. Correcting the typo and closing off the plugins still has the project ignore the commands for some reason.

    I don't know why MV has this issue with not letting things work that work for others.

    You can send me a demo with a problem via pm and i can check where it is if you want.
  3. Actually @Jonforum the problem was more simple really.

    " Important: You must use this plugin command after you’ve first shown the corresponding picture nr. using the Show Picture event command. "

    I executed the command before showing the picture.

    Thus it wasn't working okay for some reason.

    Did some further testing before considering doing a demo ( which i have difficulty condensing)

    I found the plugin is having conflicts with Terrax's lighting plugin- I had placed the bind map plugin last on the list and they both run together without crash messages BUT the lighting effects are non-functioning.

    I cannot remember when I had my plugin last updated but I think it may had a fix to work along with other plugins so just incase I will upload my version of the terrax's lighting and my plugins file.

    Then you can try this i think
  6. Thanks for that helpful link, I had to modify the code lines with that fix he has on there.

    It seems it works fine now :) I'll continue to test and test until I am completely convinced the problem is gone for certain.

    By the way, how do you measure the positioning for the image there? Instead of tiles you have them positioned by the picture x,y posititing. How would you calculate distance on a map thats about 100x100?

    Default tile size is = 48 pixels

    then 100x100 will be 100 * 48 = 4800 so 4800x4800

    for e.g

    If you need to set picture in 20x40 tile on the map, then you just do some simple math :)

    20*48 = 960; // our x for picture

    40*48 = 1920; // our y for picture

    After that you just bind picture to needed layer with plugin

    You can do calculation by yourself or use variable with calculations.
  8. Working very well so far, I was wondering if there exists a bind animation to map aswell, I feel a static image isn't getting much attention on map.

    Do you know if there exists a conditional branch of script that can identify map ID? Or even a scroll screen to binded image?
  9. Hello together,

    i have an question:
    When i create a map 50 x 30

    And i want to do lightning effects on this map - i have to open photoshop an create an page with

    50 x 48 = 2400

    30 x 48 = 1440

    When im ready with my "Paintings" i make an event, show picture in the left corner so its perfectly fitting.

    What do i have to do with the plugin?

    Any why i always see that someone uses an "!" in front of the names of their pictures, what does this letter?

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks for your help.
    • It is possible treat 1 character as 1 file by including "$" at the beginning of the file name.
    • Including a "!" at the beginning of the file name will prevent the image from being shifted 6 pixels and will no longer appear half transparent by bush elements. This is primarily used for objects found in the map such as doors and treasure chests.
    • It is also possible to use the "$" and "!" special characters together.
  11. can you answer this also:

  12. @Underserial

    50 x 48 = 2400  ???

    TileSizeXY = 48pixel, if i remember

    ((50*48)*(48*48))= You entire map resolution for PS

    ex: if you want example a fixed picture at 42x,41y

    42*48 = 2016 // you x picture pos

    41*48 = 1968 // you y picture pos

    here the script call

    //"$gameScreen.showPicture(pictureId, name, origin, x, y, scaleX, scaleY, opacity, blendMode)"
    $gameScreen.showPicture(pictureId, 'name picture', 0, 2016, 1968, 100, 100, 255, 0);
    // bind
    this.bindPictureToMap(pictureId, 1, 'below_characters');

    and in game rmmv software if you prefere
    maybe a command like that.

    first the picture will show at you screen resolution.

    After it will bind at your Map resolution

    ◆Show Picture:#1, None, Upper Left (2016,1968), (100%,100%), 255, Normal
    ◆Plugin Command:BindPictureToMap 1 above_characters

    more docu here

  13. ◆Show Picture:#1, None, Upper Left (2016,1968), (100%,100%), 255, Normal◆Plugin Command:BindPictureToMap 1 above_characters

    this will not work for me.

    Only if i do this:

    ◆Show Picture:#1, None, Upper Left (0,0), (100%,100%), 255, Normal◆Plugin Command:BindPictureToMap 1 above_characters

    Your problem has nothing to do wit your mapping, it has to do with your screen size.

    Screen size = minimum map size, or that is exactly the display you get.

    You need to make your map larger, until it is of the same size than the screen or larger.

    Also, please don't quote someone unless you want to refer to a specific part of that quote, use the @username funtion to alert someone like I did above.

    As for the solution, just in case you're mistake or someone else reads this:

    you need to make the map larger to fill out the entire screen.

    No one can tell you how large, because it looks like you changed the screen size, and it is the screen size that will determine how many tiles the map has to be (screen size divided by tile siize of 48 pixels is the minimum number of tiles)
  19. @Andar hey thanks n im really sorry for this.. i wont do this again...

    Guys out there.. do you have any explanation with this case ?
