Remember when I made a gazillion horse icons last year? Well...

This went a similar way.
"I'm just making a blank scroll."
"Oh well, one with text for a letter or a quest would be useful"
"Those are scrolls, people might like it if they have element icons on them"
"Ah, maybe they want them rather be pages than scrolls"
"And maybe white instead of parchment"
"Now that I think about it, probably colored might be useful for some, too"
"What if I made just the elemental icons colored?"

You want your chars to find or buy scrolls to learn spells or have them as single use option?
Or just have a letter in your inventory, how this whole thing started?
Technically, the blank sheet of paper or parchement could be used in any type of game :D

I love your icons! First thing I do in any project is swap out the default for yours, then rearrange and cut any excess icons before finishing. Love that there's such a variety here and super appreciate the blank ones that can be customized. Scrolls AND pages! You've covered all the bases, Avery. Thank you for today's gift. :kaothx:

I already released a more extensive temple tileset last year, but which gods to your heroes pray to?
And maybe... just maybe... they are more than just the conten of legends?

The Lady of the moon is meant to be such a deity, beautiful in a calm way, in cool tones and a gentle demeanor.
Will she answer your heroes prayers?

The Lady of the moon comes with bust, face and char, and you can pick between various versions - which you could also use to have her "undercover" without the jewlery and reveal who she is later in game.

She already has Reid picked as a champion, but maybe your heroes might be selected next?

Happy St Nicholas (to those, who celebrate)!
(Dammit, missed midnight as I was working on my annual christmas card design)
While I am prewriting this, there is a 99.9% chance that when I hit send here, I have already sneaked to my Mom's place at the evening of the 5th and dropped a little gift into her shoes. If you know, you know.

Now, I was a bit stuck with modern stuff for advent, because I know, most people do fantasy themes, but not all all the time, right?
So a fun fact, when I start making icons for advent, I just create a sheet called icons, random stuff happens and then I usually figure themes out after the fact. Like I might start with one thing, have an idea for something fitting and so on, and when it comes to distribution I divide and cluster those. The scrolls started here and were moved out once it was clear they were a whole day, other themed things might have gotten their own file from the get go.
Aaaaanyways.
I started with the ballpoint pen, realised that was stationary, ran with it, made the eraser, the ruler and the blank page, then it reminded me of the school themed Neo RTP icons for XP, added the football and then someone asked for an umbrella and that was it.
The blank page? Yeah, it was one, but somehow that escalated today when I started setting up this post ;)
Now you can flip the page, and it can be either full of writing, or a test paper :3


But closing in to advent I really wanted more modern stuff, and I sat down (even though I would have had enough, that's how the Moon Lady ended up having face and char in one day ;)), and inspired by having somewhat school themed icons already, I made a whole school set for a classroom :)



Last but not least, my cards are on the table, six days are out and among them was the first that will be part of a theme running through several days: any guesses what it could be? Or what of the themes you saw would you want to be a recurring one? ;)

Your icons are so cool, Avery--I love them so much! The graded papers with red pen especially delight me--I used to work at a tutoring center and did a lot of red pen on essays XD And the open sides on the bookshelves are supremely cool too, what a nice departure from solid sides! I don't actually use MZ even though I own it, but man, your Advent resources always make a strong, strong case for me to give it a proper try XD

As far as the theme, I'm going to guess on more animated objects like Day 1's!
