That's not correct. The original image provided by Avery is the correct size for a full character sheet - as I replied to this poster, it works perfectly for me when I copy it into my project without changing the filename at all.

Avery - I love the mermaid base! "boobfins" :guffaw:
If you look at the original post you will see that the one the poster was using was clearly not a full character sheet.

Putting a $ in front of the file name won't solve the problem either, because there are at least two characters (>6 columns) in the file from what we see, and the $ trick is for files with a single character (3 columns).
  3. AVERY!! I WANNA HUG YOU RIGHT NOW! THOSE ROUNDED CLIFFS WERE MY CHRISTMAS WISH! I've still been mapping with the MV tyles this whole time but now this makes me wanna switch to MZ! thank youuuu :)
  4. I am super busy (again) lately, so I am sorry for my short and not very responsive way of posting here, and did not always address the people who made the wishes for certain things, but @jonthefox for example found out himself ;3
Today I have six more unique weapons for you, one is the staff of the SF_Hermit, so with him now having a face and a char, he could hand it down to the hero in an emotional scene after he fights his student in a final intense training battle.
The other three traditional weapons come from RTP chars as well, the dragon was a wish by @M.I.A. and the genie was a fun idea for a distance weapon. Instead of shooting an arrow your heroes can summon his magic in battle. Besides the dragon they all come with icons, so even if you don't want to do some storytelling with these weapons and the battlers they are from, you get a nice set of new unique equipment :)

I don't mean to be combative, but I don't see what you're getting at. If you look at the original post, you will see that's clearly not a single character sheet - thus, putting a $ in front of the name would not fix the problem.

Prepending a $ makes the engine look for a spritesheet that's 3x4 cells, which is not what's shown.

To re-reiterate, Avery's original download of this sprite is the correct size for a regular character sheet. If the OP simply saves that into their img\characters folder without any editing, it will work correctly.

Avery, those weapons are awesome. I love the gilded sword.
  6. I love the dragon as a summons. And the genie is a genious idea. Thank you
  7. @Avery THE LAMP!!! THE DRAGON!!! You're the best!! :)

  8. Another day, another resource!
This time no wish, but something that I felt was necessary now. After @GalacticGod gave both of them a SV battler in his calendar, both of these characters were only an emoset away from having "everything", and so I made them :3

  9. Those are very cool - especially Monster_4 with the angry flare of purple!
  10. Oh excellent. I'm using Monster 6 and now I have an emo set, which will be great. Thank you.
  11. Thanks for all the work so far Avery :kaojoy:
  12. Since the default and the SF_Zombiedog are both the same breed it was kinda obvious to do the vice versa thing of what I did to the static battler of the zombie one to the not dead one as well.
With these you cannot only outlive your Resident Evil fantasies in game, but you can also add a dramatic scene in which your loyal dog succombs to his infection and then... is your zombie pet? Attacks you?
Again, I could write paragraphs and paragraphs about all the possibilities this opens up for your games!
Is the zombification just a horrible nightmare? Do you see flashbacks of the zombie dogs past?
Is he a good boy, just not fully intact or is he a vicious enemy? Only you know!

(What do you think about the what the RTP is missing theme? I know I have a lot resources for it lately, but I feel those add more options than just random characters because they enhance the usability of what's there and might add new ideas for characters that you might already be using in your games. A char that matches an existing battler might be more useful than just a random char...)
  13. I always love the "What the RTP is missing" - I thought since I got the software that all of the assets should have map, portrait, battler, and SV battler versions.
  14. It is the last day with the year, and I am finishing with a bang!
    ModernAnimationsAveryMZ.png
It started with a remake of one of my very first resources that I ever made - a lightswitch. With so many horror games, I don't know why they are not that much of a thing otherwise???
Then my Resident Evil loving self decided that we also needed card readers and keycards, for your research facilities with restricted access!
Most of the other resources are kinda remakes from things I had made for MV in the past - like the fan or the TV or in case of the computer and laptop, are an extension fo something I had made for a tutorial :3
With just this single sheet you can bring a lot of interaction and life into any maker game with a modern setting!
  15. This could look great on my RPGMaker horror project on alien abductions. Thanks.
  16. After the calendar and everything is over, there are still some odds and ends that are actually not so odd and endy, just... mostly not finished while the calendar was going or would have been just too much.
One of these things is the fairy base for MZ, that I kinda extracted from the fairy from the nature set and needed for the sylph.
It comes with the default and my sylph wings, and the down poses as well, but even more than the mermaid base, needs some actual pixel and/or edit work to be individualised :)

  17. Also, while the advent was running, I still made some resources every now and then - which I could not stuff inbetween^^'

The most annoying thing about the MZ emotes is the semi transparent hair over eyes and eyebrows that makes some edits really time consuming - and when I looked for something else in the faces I realised that some of them don't have that issue cause of their convenient hairstyle!
And I also think we need more emotions for the NPCs anyways! She could be sad that your heroes could not save her dad from the monsters, or be mad that their "fetching her some eggs for a cake" quest took more than 3 ingame hours!

  18. Ah yes, those 3 hour long simple quests. Her expression fits that so well.
NPCs deserve a little loving attention, so I'm glad you're giving some.
    Thank you.
  19. This year's Advent Calendar was just truly spectacular. Thank you so much for all you do throughout the year, but especially in December. Now that I've taken some time to carefully review all the presents, I'd like to tell you how I'm planning on using them.

I always love your fountains and these were spectacular. Every major town deserves its own unique, animated fountain, and, with all these choices, why not?

I very much liked the large horse images, presumably enemies, of 2021 and now we have the matching charsets this year. I can't decide whether I like the pinto or the palomino most. Even if one of these horses don't make it into my party, they'll definitely have a place on the farm.

Having a completed queen set to go with the 2021 king set is much appreciated. Faces and busts with emotions truly keep the player engaged during dialogues. The face/bust sets for the kitsune and the mermaid are well appreciated, and I did love that annoyed/vexed 'how DARE you!' look of Actor 3-2. But, can we talk about the Mushroom-hatted Gnome Face emosets w/ matching bust emosets, SV Battler, weapons and matching weapon icon HOW COOL IS THIS! My overall favorite this year.

Even if I never event a board game as a mini-game in any of my games, I do enjoy creating puzzles. And you get tired of pushing rocks around, so these game markers are going to come in really handy. Who knows? Maybe I'll someday event a Sorry game. Those dice will come in handy as well.

Now the tilesets. I am horrible at mapping. Everything looks like it's made with a kid's stamp kit. I've tried mixing up tilesets to get more random, natural effects, but oftentimes the results just clash. What I love about these tiles is that they all play nicely with each other and the default tiles, so mixing/mashing/clumping helps to keep my maps from being boring and nothing looks horribly out of place. The moat drawbridge, though, now that is going to a superb touch to the overworld map.

I love that your interior tilesets always contain side facing furniture, makes the rooms so much more realistic. Then you went and posted the Acorn homes tileset. JACKPOT!!!! A home village for those mushroom-hatted gnomes, nestled inside a giant tree dungeon. This one is already in the works.

I've always really disliked the MZ default crystals. I preferred the MV crystals, though I wasn't actually crazy about them, just thought they were better than the MZ. And now, here are crystals that I love. And the optional shattering effect is such a bonus.

The napping cat needs to find a home with Grandma.

When I decide which math puzzle to associate with the Gnomes, I'll post a pic.

Happy New Year and thank you again.
  20. Thank you so much for that detailled feedback ♥

While I am still sorthing through the wips and not yet released things I think today is the day to release my "Oopsie".
My train of thought was pretty logical on this one, it was: hey, the SF_Monster3 has a vaguely human silouette, so I can actually make an SV enemy on the base of the generator base and therefore can provide even a full SV sheet in the calendar!
    SF_Monster_3AveryMZ_SV.png

... and then I realised that that is one of the characters that already has an amazing SV battler by hiddeonone that I love a lot.
So maybe if there is anyone who wants to have two distinct shadows in their game or maybe wants to use in it a more monster and more human form or wants the shadow to be able to use weapons or whatever, there might be still a need for it.

That is why I pulled it out of the calendar and pushed it to the back, but it would be a shame to abadon it.

Plus I have something really useful if you plan to use that character, the matching emoset:
