The mermaid is adorable, Avery. X) Love the idea of her being a hero.

One of the most popular XP things was the saving crystal and the edits with various humans and creatures inside. Such a great way to discover new things, maybe something that was frozen in time... or to have a save crystal that might crack after being used so you can limit the use amount.
And somehow every other crystal after that did not hold up to it, so I made one that I liked for MZ for Day 20 ;3
(Also I wanna proudly point out that the shadows in the version with a shadow are colored since the light shines through the crystal)
If you want to stick someone or something into it, we have 2 parts where you can place said thing inbetween.

Love the idea of discovering something inside these crystals!
-
I think I might use these instead of chests. Far more plausible to find crystals with things inside than a supply of chests left by other people with things in them.

@Starbird_Resources Very true. What I had been thinking of was using these instead of some (more important) chests, but combining them might be interesting.

My first JRPG was Final Fantasy V, so I have a soft spot for shattering crystals :stickytongue:

I don't know folks, it probably says a lot about the amount of work that went into the calendar that a day with basically a full set of images for a character feels like one of the less exciting days, but stuff that is useful does not always have to be super exciting, huh?
Long story short on Day 21: The SF_Agent had just a battler, and now besides the emoset every other gap in his row is filled :3
I started with an edited base and then pixelated the missing parts to get him just right ;3
Is he a villian, chasing our heroes around and trying to get hinder them on their journey? Maybe he has a change of heart when he learns about how evil his boss is and joins the party after they defeated him in a fight?
Or maybe he is the main character from the start, a reserved and skilled agent, ready to solve all mysteries and quests that he comes across?
Whatever it is, he is ready to be whatever you want!
-
That sounds like a line straight out of a romance sim. XDWhatever it is, he is ready to be whatever you want!
Jokes aside, I love this. There are so many uses that can be employed with Agent Smith...er, I meant the SF_Agent. It immediately makes me want to start a SF game in similar vein to Final Fantasy VII, where tech and magic collide. -
hey. so i just discovered your work and i have to say i like it and will definitely be using it in my project.
i'll also be keeping on eye on this thread in anticipation for your future work.
and speaking of your future works, not to pressure you or anything but i do hope you'll make some dungeon tilesets soon, specifically the kind i can use for caves whether it be walls, floors or decorations. again i'm not trying to pressure you, even if you don't make this soon i'm hoping you'll make it eventually. my project's far from finished so i can wait. -
The agent's use as a minor NPC shouldn't be underestimated. Need a bodyguard to show that a character is important? Need someone to guard a door in a modern setting? Need someone to question the main character about the supernatural events they witnessed? He's your guy.

Nice work indeed with this character. You'te right about the creative ambiguity of his face and posture.
@Fidens_Libertas If you look in Avery's main thread you will find tons of tiles. You might also want to check out hiddenone and Candacis. -
Just wanted to say... lovely work as always, Avery!
-
A little inbetween as it would go under pretty easily, I saw @tumsterfest (just make a request for such a thing if you need it :p) was looking for a face part for the MZ fairy wings and I have not tested it, so it might be possible that you can't add a face graphic to wings and you either have to set it up as cloak or edit it in in Gimp in the end, but whatever:

I wish there was that kind of crystal for MV or at least a cracking
animation part to place them on it.
nice going though =). -
I wish there was that kind of crystal for MV or at least a cracking
animation part to place them on it.Avery didn't say those crystals are based on MZ's RTP or anything, so there's no reason you can't use them.Apparently the first post says so and I didn't bother to look :stickytongue: -
Of course they are edits, they fall as everything else under the terms in the start post and that clearly states that you need to own MZ to use anything in this thread.
-
Ah. My mistake. I haven't looked at the first post in two and a half years.
-
I stick with MV for a while as all my mechanics ar based on it, but
they tiles/crystals and all of them look so nice though =)
I dont blame them going to MZ, as it has their own cons and pro's,
so I respect them :)
Keep up the good work, maybe when I get the MZ version I would use
those sweet tiles, but for now, it needs to wait or just going to watch
the nice tiles :D
maybe I can do something similair based from the idea's with MV version
for personal use as I'm not that good as the artist here ^^ -
Thanks! I loathe asking for help, haha. They look perfectly simple, yet perfectly effective.
