  1. Thank you for your amazing Icons Avery.
  2. Thank you Avery for the amazing icons!
  3. Thank you for all your contributions Avery!
If you're still open for requests, I have a random one.
A 32x32 icon of a crab rangoon lol.

  4. Avery, your work is amazing, especially the pieces from this year's Advent! It's always a highlight of the whole forum. I wanted to ask if a cake icon would be possible? Just vanilla cake with frosting, or an upscale of the black forest cake from the smaller set? Either would be incredible. You've already made what I believe is a plain chocolate cake, which is adorable, only needs frosting!
    ETA:
We also have the new tea set, which is just so cute. Matching bowl to the plate set?
  5. In the 32x32 MV/MZ set, halfway, you have some cool crowns. They come in silver and in gold. And the whole set is included 4 times: Once with blue details, once with red details, once with green details and... Then the red details again. :p

I assume the red details are the original, and you forgot to color the 4th color?

I love the icons though. ♥ Keep 'm coming.

The fourth is pink-ish to me compared to the darker red of the second. Seriously not a dig, but do you maybe have some slight color blindness? A cousin of mine does and has trouble differentiating very similar colors such as this.

Hmmm... You're right. There is a slight difference... When I put them right next to each other, I do see it.

I don't know of any color blindness, but with the green one in between, they seem very similar to me. :p I actually thought they were the same. I thought it was funny it went unnoticed for so long... That should have been a clue.

I guess I could recolor them to a different 4th color myself. Even though I don't have any use for a crown in my current game. Unless, maybe, as a gag item. My game plays in our world in the 90's. Even actual kings would not wear a crown. I was actually going trough the icon set for the food parts.

Anyhow. I love the icons. They are perfect for both real-world games and fantasy games. Avery is already in my credits for the 224 key icons in my iconset, otherwise they would have made my credits now. (That number was even higher. I had to delete some keys. I had 112 different keys in copper, silver and gold... I had to bring that down to silver (which I then changed to steel) and gold.)
  8. Hi, Avery. If you are accepting requests, I have one. You know, most icons are for Japanese food and some snacks, but almost no European, North American or Latin American dishes...

If it isn't much, could I ask for at least 3? Wellington Beef, Enchiladas and Arepas.

What are North American dishes? :p

The ones you named are European and Latin American like you also mentioned, but what is North American food?

Fries and burgers, pasta and pizza, are all from Europe. Chinese food is from Indonesia (no joke).

I honestly cant think of a single American dish. Spare ribs maybe?

I would like more food items too, though. Cant have enough of those.

    Mac 'n' cheese? ;D

Btw if shop is open, maybe...scissor? That would be awesome.

There is a lot of North American dishes! Of course, most of the food people think is American is from other countries, but USA has its own cuisine. To name some examples:

    -Gumbo.
    -Peach Cobbler.
    -Cornbread.
    -Lobster roll.
    -Cheesesteak.
    -Buffalo wings.
    -Shoo-fly pie.
    -Fudge.
    -Pot roast.
    -Brunswick stew.
    -Catfishstew.
    -Country Captain.
    -Chow-chow
    -And many more...
  12. For context, I was thinking of a bit by a comedian who asked audience members for American food, and they said things like French fries, hamburgers, pizza and pasta.
I could be wrong but I think it was Stephen Lynch.

Some food idea's for icons (common foods):
    - Sandwich
    - Ham (aka Canadian Bacon)
    - Bacon
    - Baked Beans
    - Pain (French bread)
    - Fries
    - Hotdogs (oh, that is American, I think!)
    - Whole grilled Chicken and/or Turkey
    - Apple pie
    - Birthday cake
    - Wedding cake

If you're going to do local food (dutch snacks):
    - Kroket
    - Frikandel Speciaal
    - Kaassouflé
    - Bitterballen

Why I can't translate those to English
I can not really translate them, since those snacks are very rare or none existent in any other country than the Netherlands and Belgium. Which btw is like France and the Netherlands had a baby together, and they named it Belgium... That was after the Spanish oppression, but before the French oppression, I believe. I'm not sure, but at least it was before the German oppression... And yes, there are centuries in between those oppressions. But that checks out. It takes centuries for a country to be born. So, now you know why I cant translate those Snacks from Dutch to English.

I'm just sprouting idea's. I'm not actually requesting anything, but if they would be added, I would def. use them. By now, more than 99% if my icons are from this set, or recolors of icons from this set.
  13. I have a request to make. There's a dish in my AU called "surikuro". I made up the word "surikuro" btw. It's actually a word in the fictional language of my world, Kabrei. Anyway, surikuro is made by mixing sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, and diced apples into vanilla yogurt. It's a really simple dish that, as you can tell, is a type of fruit salad. It's a common dessert in a number of my games, and you can make it by bringing the ingredients to a chef who will make it for you. (It has higher healing properties than all four ingredients combined, so it's worth it!)
By chance, could you create a 32x32 icon of the dish described above? I tried, and it didn't turn out well (it didn't blend in with the other icons of yours that I'm using with credit). I'd really appreciate your help! Thank you!
  14. can you make some dynamite? the icon should be 24x24.
askin this just cuz im remaking an old rpg maker xp game from 2008 and i decided to add a part with a dynamite mechanic. basically you blow up a wall to get access to a cave.
im leaving tonight to go to the sea tho, so maybe i wont see if u actually did it but ill check every day...
  15. Avery you are amazing, these look so well-made!

It's already there, in "Western" category.

Btw, @JohnDoeNews, Dutch Kroket is very popular also in my country, and the name is similar, because it's Krokiet :)

Kroket should be popular everywhere!! :p Truly, isn't that the most delicious thing you've ever tasted? :p We're just king of the deep-fryer. :p

I'm not even kidding, though. 75% of our restaurants have no pans or even a stove, just a bunch of deep fryers.

    1721303715959.png

Though how is it possible the Dutch have so many different and delicious snacks made in the deep fryer, while countries like America are the ones struggling with obesity? Oh, I see... They throw sticks of butter in the deep fryer? Yeah, I think I get it now. :p
  18. @JohnDoeNews Yeah, I really love it, too. Just delicious. I oftem made them with my mom :) We also deep-fry them, the one from pan are not so good and crispy. In our country they are served with borscht, but I like to eat them best with bread spread with butter.

Try them with mayonaise or mustard. :p But with Borscht? Isn't that like cold tomato soup?

I'm happy to talk about delicious food, but maybe not here. :p Not that my view on food is a secret, it is just someone elses thread about a different topic. :p

Oh, no, you mean gazpacho, borscht is a hot soup (and not creamy), like a chicken soup but from beetroots xD

    barszcz-czerwony-3.jpg

    Gonna try krokiety with mayo!

Ps. Oh, yes, right. So sorry for that, Avery!
