Arabian Tilesets

I'm looking for a few tilesets loosely based on Aladdin and basic Arabian cultures. I trying looking at the Arabian Nights resource pack, but it's not quite what I want. I need (in the RTP style);

-1 autoroof, 1 autowall, 1 autofloor, 1 3-width staircase, 1 1-width staircase and decorations for a cave like the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, including Genie lamp and plinth for the lamp to sit on.

-overworld sprites for Sultan, Genie, Jafar with a bigger beard, Sultan Jafar with a bigger beard

-face sprites for Sultan, Genie, Jafar with a bigger beard, Sultan Jafar with a bigger beard

and finally -battle sprites for Genie, Jafar with a bigger beard and Sultan Jafar with a bigger beard

Can anyone do this?

Pandamaru has some nice pieces. Not sure if they are exactly what you are looking for but they are lovely.

Maru has some good stuff, yeah, but it's not what I need. Plus, I'd like to have original stuff in my game. Just personal preference.

A big set of original tiles is too big of a request for this section. You'll need to make a new thread in either Project Recruitment or Classifieds. I won't lock the thread right away just in case you change your mind and decide that existing tiles are alright.

I'm editing out the first two tilesets, but I still need a tomb and a cave. That's not too much to ask, I don't think.

Not to sound mean IcarusBen, tilesets in general specially for a tomb and a cave, a full tileset(which Im understanding) is infact a lot. It can take days to weeks to even months for good decent/good quality tilesets. They arent as simple as they look sadly.

I appreciate the attempt to follow the rules by cutting it down to ten requests, but it still is too big. I'm not trying to be a rule lawyer or anything, it's just that bigger requests don't get done here and you're more likely to get what you're asking for in the other areas. Around here the only way you get tiles is by breaking it down smaller, like only asking for a couple autotiles or a few objects. Well, and catching an artists interest. Asking for a full set is like asking for more than ten sprites.


@Commotion: I would love to meet the artist who could do a full set in days! I've never managed under a month.

I'm not looking for anything as expansive as the RTP sets. The tomb needs only 1 autoroof, 1 autowall, 1 auto floor, stairs, an item plinth and a few decorations. The cave needs the same, though it definitely needs a genie lamp sprite in the decorations. It doesn't sound that huge.

In that case you may want to give an exact list instead of jsut listing them as a "set", which people will interpret as a much bigger order. The more specific you are the better.

GrandmaDeb has some nice ancient dungeon tiles in her resource thread here. There's already an item plinth and even a genie lamp-like icon in RTP? 

Asking for "a few decorations" doesn't help because we can't read your mind. Perhaps if you could link some references, people might be in a better position to know what you're looking for? :)

The decorations for the tomb should be like treasure piles, tapestries, sarcophagi, etc. etc. The Cave should look like the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, so I'm looking for decorations that expand upon that idea.

Darling, your very vague on what you want. I'm ready to give a hand to people but only if they specify what they want. Your just giving people more work by saying you would like something like Cave of Wonders, your asking others to do the research for you. Some never watched the movie and have no idea what your talking about, it shouldn't be their job to look for examples but yours to provide. I would suggest to dig out some screenshots and give those as an example, same goes for things like tapestries (since there are many tapestries out there, I imagine your looking for something specific? :unsure:  ) and such. Examples HELP A TON, so the artist wouldn't have to go back and redo things for you.  :p

It might not sound that huge, but making graphics could really take a while even if it's a few. :)

What exactly do you mean with, you want original stuff in your game?

I don't think anyone here will make you exclusive tiles that only you can use for free. Sorry, but I think, exclusive tiles usually cost money.

If you're looking for general resources that are shared with the public, then okay, for instance PandaMaru also made a genie sprite with a lamp, you might want to use that.

Well, I tried making it smaller, but two things happened;

1). Idiot me forgot I need face sprites for the various characters.

2). I can't seem to get the images to go into the post. I tells me "you can't use that image extension on this community."

Still, I narrowed down the tilesets.

I also checked out Maru's stuff, but as far I can see it's not quite what I'm looking for.

Just use http://imgur.com as your uploading site, it works well for everyone. ;) And you didn't narrow much by adding facesets. hahahaha XD

I'm not uploading images, I'm using google images. They show up in the editor, but it won't let me save the post.

You should also check the posts at the botton because the list has not been updated for a while.

That's why you should reupload them on a imgur. The sites these images are on might not be allowed on this forum, or just simply not work correctly. 

That message usually occurs when the image isn't posted correctly. I do it all the time... You miss a ] or a " or misspell the bsckslash!url and you get an error.<br />
