Animation Collection III - Thaumaturgy looks like crap...

  1. So, um... I bought the Animation Collection III (along with Animation Collections I and II) and they conveniently didn't mention that III is not compatible with I and II seeing that part III have to be used with the standard 816x624 resolution and parts I and II can be used with any resolution. In fact the demo for parts I and II are run is 1280x720 resolution and then part III is run in 816x624 which is not very consistent. Actually, passing off content like this in the store with such a lack of consistency is kind of shady to be honest.

They must have different artists working on these projects or something and I understand that RPG Maker is a hobby and we are expected to do minor (to major) tailoring of assets but... come on. Even though its only a few dollars I still feel like I got ripped off since I don't think I can alter the animations for part III to work properly with parts I and II without going through a number crunching calculator frenzy and then spending hours or days in PS which I'm not gonna do. Really, someone should have to fix Animation Collection III so it can be run in a higher resolution (and be consistent with I and II).

I hate going on a rant but I feel like I got sold a knock off item rather than the real thing, is there a way to demand a refund for broken content like this?

  2. I had no problem with pack III myself. All animation sheets are 192 x 192 no matter what resolution you use, so they either have to be zoomed in or will be small on screen.
  3. I'll read through the 23 pages on that thread you posted but what you are saying is that the screenshot I posted is what they are supposed to look like? Parts one and two that are in 1280x720 resolution work fine and I copied all the entries directly from the demo to my game. My question is just why part three couldn't be consistent.

Zooming in may fix the problem, how do I do that?
  4. You put the animation in the editor and then to go the animations tab and set the zoom to what you want. I found that a high percentage of collection III are full screen animations so they are meant to be set to zoom enough to fill the entire screen. How high a zoom you need will depend on your resolution but the highest zoom you can set in the editor for MV the last time I tried it was 800%.
  5. Ok, that worked I think. Forgive my noobliness. I am very grateful for this community being so helpful, I'm trying to run through as many tutorials as I can but I get side tracked with stuff and hit road blocks.
  6. Yeah, in the thread linked, someone recommended using 670% zoom if you're using 1280x720.
  7. Just curious where do you even go to zoom out to get this animation working correctly, is it in a yanfly core plugin or somewhere in the database?
  8. @dragon1up : We'd prefer you to post a new thread on this as this thread is over a year old. As it is, the zoom is in the animation tab on the database, when you tell it which one to use from the sheet you can set a zoom for it then.

Closing thread too as old thread. Start a new one if you still have questions on it.
