  1. Resource Type: Weapon graphic

    Maker Format: MV

    Art Style: MV RTP

Description: A mobile RPGMV game I'm currently working on has a class known as the "Horn Artist" who can use powerful supportive spells by generating a resource via attacking and singing. Her main weapon should obviously be a giant horn!

The Horn Artist was greatly inspired by the video game series Monster Hunter and the Hunting Horn weapon in those games. Unfortunately, I can't just say "make a Hunting Horn like from Monster Hunter" because Hunting Horn graphics in that game vary from giant ukeleles to enormous hams to drums to anything you can imagine that can be associated (or not!) with music.

I'm not really picky--a weapon image in the style of the first image below would be fine, though I do want the horn to be a bit "straighter" than a normal real-life hunting horn--the curve would make the weapon swing look weird, IMO.

Reference Images: These images are from google search.

A traditional real-life "hunting horn". It's worth noting that there's an MV icon that very closely resembles this.

A random hunting horn from Monster Hunter (trust me, there's a lot of them)latest

  3. I'm no good at art, but I think there's a somewhat decent chance that if you ask whtdragon on this thread then he'll make one. I can't guarantee anything though.
  4. I tried something.

Note sure if the horn is big enough, I can do more variety if you like. I made it a ground pound based on the shape... the sound is supposed to hurt... as shown by the music notes. Let me know if some adjustments/repositionning are needed.

I more or less based it on this:

Wow, this is way better than what I was expecting! It works great, I just had to position it right. Thank you!!

Edit: I suppose I should ask if you mind me using this in my game (with credit, of course) since the game I'm making is intended to be commercial?
  6. Glad you liked it :)

You can absolutely use it in a commercial project, I share my things under a Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 licence. But keep in mind that your modifications are subject to the same licence (ShareAlike).
  7. Gotcha. Thanks again!
