  1. This is for posting your RPG Maker routine, how much time you give to your projects? And much time you give to this forum?

    Here is mine!

Works - 3/4 hours per day on the maker!

Online - 8/9 hours per day, of course. It's real.

I wonder how much farther along I could be if I actually did this... I've been having issues with motivation lately.
  3. I'm in both at the same time unless I'm on the mac, so 10 forum and 0-10 Maker!
  4. I have no routine. Or rather, I don't have a focused routine.

I often do a lot of multi-tasking. One which usually involves scripting, checking this site for new notifications or new topics/posts to reply to, and switching between XP, VX, and Ace.
  5. This is my hobby. Some days, if I have the day off, I'll work the whole day on a project or on the resources for a project. But I have no dedicated routine. Like most things in life, it includes a lot of coffee drinking and milling about on the couch flipping Internet tabs and chatting with people.

Same here. Last Saturday, the one before this one, I worked on my project for +- 14 hours, it was going so well.

Now I have some exams that I have to study for, been like 6 days without RPG Maker.
  7. I try to actually "work" on the project an hour a day. At least, any ways. Although it depends on a quite of few things going on.
  8. If I'm in holiday and I want to procrastinate, I spent my time in forums all day

If I'm in holiday and I don't want to procrastinate, I spent my time in doing project, and take a little break by visiting the forums

If I'm not in a holiday, I usually spent most of my time in forums than project. Considering my time isn't that much
  9. Nice routines! I think mine is slow, I am doing a lazy development. I don't like it here, I need to take these serious.
  10. I work about 40 hours a week @ my actual job. Spend probably about 2 hours a day on the forums, usually while doing other things, like working with the RM and doing prelim stuff (pencil art for graphics, writing out dialogue, sketching maps, etc.) Pencil-&-paper work plus computer work probably comes out to about 3 or 4 hours a day.
  11. Sometimes whole days will go pass with me not doing anything at all, and then you'll get those days where you work 3-4 hours straight on a project.

I'm less active as of late as well ( more over at RMN nowadays ) so I can actually finish my games and not waste time on forums.
  12. Most of my free time is spent working on a game. It depends on the days and whether I have other commitments, but it can range anywhere between 2-3 hours a day to maybe 2/3rds of the waking hours in a day. I always have the maker open so I can come back to it whenever I feel like adding more stuff to the game.

As for the forums, I tend to have them open for most of the day too, but I check stuff in small bursts, mostly when taking a break from game-making.
  13. I have my rpg maker open... but Ii am very lazy and rarely actually do anything unless it's during a competition period. i lack motivation. lol.
  14. O
  15. Once my schedules not so hectic, prob by September, will get back to Spriting whenever I have some free time. At the moment just working on my character before anything else. The story is safely locked in my head.  :ninja:
  16. Probably about an hour a week, to be honest. At the moment. I used to have more time in the holidays.
  17. Hi. Normaly i think this is mine: 3/4 hours on the maker :)
Now i have more time to do my proyect, so this number of hours could increase at any time

I think when you're doing good with the maker you can stay hours and hours, but if things don't go to well...
  18. I'm not dedicated to my project. I merely treat it as a hobby. Its progress relies heavily when I feel like opening it. But that doesnt mean I'm willing to give that up. Not even likely. If I started something, I'll finish it. Because if I didn't, I'd feel so uncomfortable emotionally and physically.

But to answer the question, I normally spend 1 to 3 hours using RPG Maker XP. Most of my time either goes to composing, producing, or whatever it is that's related to audio.
