    @Yanfly

I am trying to make a "overdrive" skill that uses a series of skills by inserting a force action in the end of each one. The first one works fine, but the next one gives this error.

    Hidden Content

    Any idea why?

Edit: This seems to work fine in DTB, but ATB and CTB gives this same error.

Since I cannot reproduce the error, I'm going to ask you to do the following.

    1. Download all the newest updates of the plugin.
    2. Create a new project.
    3. Install -only- the affected plugins. If you're using non-YEP plugins, do NOT include them.
    4. Make sure they're in the right order listed on http://yanfly.moe/yep/
    5. Recreate the error.
    6. Archive the project with WinZip or WinRAR. Do not archive it multiple times. It does not compress it further.
    7. Upload the project online (do -not- deploy it) to a website like MediaFire.com or Mega.co.nz or Dropbox.
    8. Post the link here and I'll take a look at it.

    Thanks for helping!

Here it is. Try using skill #11. It doesn't work in CTB or ATB but if you set the battle system to DTB it works fine.
  3. The error is within your own eval statement. It is not an error from my plugin. -_-

I just removed the eval, used a standard common event to call the forced action, and it works fine.

To get the desired effect I'm guessing you're trying to do, use the following setup for a more reliable fashion:

    <Follow Action>

    Common Event: x

    </Follow Action>

Inside common event x, you can play through each of the limit actions using the Last Target to maintain target lock.

You have the patience of a saint, Yanfly.

Just dropped by to say keep up the great work!

    I second that statement!

Personally I would've lost it by now which is a thing I hate about myself.

    EDIT:

Anyway I have an issue with the Region Restrictions plugin. Using Super Orange Movement the restrict all region restriction will work on events but not the player. However, Restrict Player works as it should.

I tried reordering the plugins but that did not work. Only turning it off fixed the issue

Here is a link to Super Orange Movement:

If it helps I don't have the pixel movement enabled, I am only using the plugin for it's diagonal movement feature.
  6. Maybe this is a blast from the past and sorry if it has been answered before (as it probably has)...

As far as the Equip Core is concerned, how do I check if the actor wearing the equipment is affected by a certain state...

And generally, how do I address the user of the equipment  in the the custom parameters?

Thanks a lot in advance! :)

@Yanfly Thanks Yanfly, I'll be using common events to do this instead =D Although I don't see how the error is in my eval statement, since if I set the Battle Engine Core for DTB it works correctly, and the actor performs all the skills in the right target. :| Thanks anyway o/

I'm not sure how Hudell does diagonal movement, but I'm guessing it probably does it straight up diagonally instead of going along the X and Y movements. If this is true, it would bypass the region restrictions. Otherwise, it wouldn't.

    That would be user.isStateAffected(x)
  9. Still waiting for Scrollable Message windows. ):

  10. Yep, of course it works...

Woe is me! I just figured that I have left a Seal Equip parameter on the state so it was unequiping the accessory all along...

Lesson learned, next time quadruple check!

Well, thanks for the swift reply!

I'm guessing you are going to tell me that I need to contact Hudell about this instead.

Edit: I disabled diagonal movement and the problem still occurs which I knew it couldn't possibly have been in the first place because over half the time I went into the restricted area, it was not diagonal.
  12. Plugin Previews & Round 11 Winners

The plugin candidates for the 11th poll are revealed along with this week's plugin previews! Are you guys ready for Steal & Snatch and Party Limit Gauge?

Well, considering that I specifically stated in my first post that I don't support compatibility patches, if you want something fixed to work with another maker's plugin, it won't be with me:

NOTE: I'll only provide support for my own plugins. This isn't because I disrespect other plugin makers or anything of the sort. If I did, I wouldn't go so far as to maximize compatibility with my plugins when possible. The reason behind is because of my lack of time, and I'd like to put my undivided attention to errors caused by my own plugins. That said, any modifications you've made to the plugins itself or the source code will not be supported by me either.

As far as the diagonal movement not being the culprit, you provided me the link to his said post which lead me to believe you thought it was the cause. As it isn't, I would suggest you attempt to reproduce this bug in a controlled environment, aka an empty project with ONLY the region restrictions plugin. If it persists there, then it's something I need to fix, to which, you need to send me the empty project with the bug. If it doesn't, that's an issue on your end that you'll have to solve.

Understood, just turns out the plugin itself is somehow the issue turning it off fixed the issue. I'll contact Hudell about this.

Yay! I'm super excited for Extra-Parameters and for Limit Gauge!! And even more importantly YANFLY HAS NOW LEVELED UP TO LV99 ADORABLENESS!!! I wish we could use them... hmm.... Anyway, this week has been super cool and I can't wait to see what is in the next poll!

Also I wanted to ask if it is possible to set a Max and a Minimum level for monsters that appear (not through events) on a certain map? Like if you were using Type 5, and wanted to use 1 monster, twice in the game, with two level maximums? At the moment, I just copy and paste them, and change the note tags but then if I use any sort-of Enemy Book plugin, both show up, and that looks scruffy...
  16. Hey Yanfly,

Turns out Hudell has a similar plugin of his own called Orange Region Collisions. I found out after he replied so I'm using that instead.
  17. Extra parameters is great and definitely gives a use to luck.

Absorption barrier seems useful. Perhaps it shall be a good replacement for armor defense?

Steal and snatch is definitely a staple

At least you didn't pick the bottom choice this time. I think the reason most of these are on the bottom is because they seem generic but your previews reveal a lot more than expected. I thought Gold Usage in skills would win your vote.

Why don't the makers of RPG Maker hire you?

Yeah, you can use lunatic mode to determine their levels based on the map ID. <3

Dunno. But I like the freedom I have right now in creating what you guys vote for right now. That way, I know you all are getting the plugins you need for your games rather than the plugins the company may think you need for your games. 8D

Yay! I'm a lunatic now!  Does that mean the secret society of lunatic mode will attempt to recruit me? I hope not...  :(

That makes sense and I'll cut myself off before I rant about bureaucracy. I'm still finding your modesty equally as impressive as your plugins.
