Hello everyone I am using the YED_SideviewBattler.js script to give my characters the ability to have more than 3 frames of animation for their battler sprites. This is the youtube video I used to set up the script. [embedded media]
I have noticed the video does list the script as Old but I have not found a more up to date version of the script.
I have it working just fine but I trying to figure out how to change my sprites mid-battle. I used Yanfly's Actor transform video, [embedded media]. It did not work, mainly since in the Sideview script I am using the battle sheet is loaded via the notetags for the character. I am wondering if anyone knows how to change the sprites when they are tied to the notetags.
I have found a script for swapping members of the party in and out but that doesn't work quite how I want it because I would have to have a character for each transformation.
Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if you need anymore information or a clearer explanation. Thank you.

Oh, I would be very interested in knowing this too. I speculated that it wouldn't be the case you could change it for that reason.

In my experience with this plugin, there was no way to change the battler sprite at all.

Do you know of different plugin that accomplishes the extra frames and possibly allows you to change the sprites mid-battle?In my experience with this plugin, there was no way to change the battler sprite at all.

@Mortalis As far as I know, this is the only plugin currently that let's you add extra frames IN BATTLE AND is compatible with the Yanfly Library.
Victor's Engine has a plugin that extends the sprite sheet for battles, but I don't know if it allows for swapping and none of Victor's plugins are compatible with Yanfly's, which may or may not be problematic for you.
Other than that, your best option would either be to commission an extension for this plugin, or maybe try DragonBones... it's a lot more complex to use but you can swap parts mid-battle.
By the by, the updated script is here:

There's a thread here somewhere with some additional adjustments, but those won't make a difference to the issue you're trying to address.
Alternatively, you could swap actors instead and have your alternate form be a different but mirrored actor.
