world map

looking for a world map. needs mountains and rivers and caves, will make the maps for those locations as well as fill it with cities. needs to be large enough for all major capitols as well as major cities and docks. preferably of earth.

I would do it myself but I don't have a good working map of the world with all those resources listed.

No. I'm using RPG VX ACE and need a room that is of the whole earth. epic sizes. not tiles

Please specify your request - you didn't give enough information as to what you want.


1) do you want a map of a generic fantasy world, or a specific one, or a science fiction world, or are you taking about the real planet Earth here?


2) do you want it as a picture for a parallax, or do you want a finished mapfile?


3) in the case of a mapfile, what size should that map be?


Be warned that a complete map of planet earth is almost impossible to do on the grid, as the map would have a max of 500x500 tiles, and with Earth that would result in a resolution of 80km x 80km per tile.

real planet earth, mapfile finished, does not need to include cities. 1000x1000 tiles

As I told you above, that is impossible.
The maximum size of a map is 500x500, it is not possible to make single larger maps - you have to split the map if you want something that size.


And usually a map of 200x200 is already considered large, where the player has to walk a lot to see it - 1000x1000 would simply be unplayable.

400x400 would work fine then.
