    the download link is below.

it solved my problem and a few other's hopefully it can solve your's

happy game making guys !!! heart.png now i can finally check out MV like the rest of you !

unzip it and copy and paste into your folder where mv is in steam or the early standalone release or if you have both installed copy and paste to both !!!
  2. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I was getting so frustrated trying to figure out the problem and this worked beautifully! Thank you!!!   :mrsatan:   :thumbsup-left:
  3. thank man  :rock-left:   :guffaw:   :rock-right:
  4. I tried this and unfortunately it didn't help at all. Any other possible fixes?
  5. I know on my older laptop MV is crashing when loading the .dll for openGL (Fault Module Name: ig4icd32.dll)which makes me think think that graphics chipset is not compatible with the required openGL used for MV.  I will try this when I get back home though.  Thanks for the post.

UPDATE:  Worked like a charm.  Thanks for the link OP.
  6. WOWZERS!! IT WORKS!!

That's not what you think it is. That's a version of MESA, it's an OpenGL software renderer. It can provide a OpenGL ES2 backend to drivers that don't have it, but if that's the case, you probably should have just updated the graphics driver instead.

RPG Maker MV comes with all the files it needs, and it doesn't need that.
  8. I've got the exact same Problem. Using a  "GF 750 Ti". I'm running the steam version, every driver is in the most current, non Beta, state. The OpenGL dll won't fix the problem for me. I've also checked if I'm running the WMI and it does. The steam cache is verified, I've tried different locations for the installation and I've tried admin mode also. Nothing helped so far. Right now, I'm out of ideas.
  9. Thanks so much for this fix!

I've tried all the other solutions, including updating my drivers, but this was the first one that worked.
  10. Where do we put the file?
  11. Yo dude that opengl32.dll file was DA BOMB. A real open-G!!! I was going mad trying to figure this out and I tried everything. Thank you so much for posting this dude

In the RPGMV folder where you installed it. Probably C drive - Program Files - KADOKAWA
  12. Thank you so much!  ;_;  I'm crying with emotion and gratitude!
I got the nasty BEX ERROR and it was really getting on my nerves!  D:<
Tried EVERYTHING (went from blog to blog all day long) and this file solved it!
THANKS FOR SHARING SO KINDLY!   :rock-left: :)
  13. Well, this might happen you are getting this error due to corrupted DLL file. So, try to repair the corrupted DLL file, DLL is very important file and when this get corrupted user start facing various problem like windows won’t able to run properly, or some programs or software are unable to install or faced problem while opening them. So, try the below given method to fix it:

Run System File Checker (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10):

    1. Click Start button > type “command” in the search box.
    2. And after that hold both CTRL+Shift on the keyboard and press ENTER.
    3. A permission dialog box will be prompted > Click Yes
    4. Now a black box opens with a blinking cursor.
    5. Type “sfc /scannow” and press ENTER.
    6. System File Checker will start scanning for the error and other system file problems (wait for some time)
    7. Follow the on-screen commands.

Hope this will help you but if not then you can make use of the DLL Repair Tool to fix the problem.
  14. Closing this due to hidden necropost, and because that fix is obsolete

Just for info about it: this was a workaround for a problem in the display driver, it was never a problem of MV itself.

MV simply needs an OpenGL library that was extremely recent and not yet included in all display drivers at the time of first publication.

Now - one year later - all display drivers have had that included in their recent versions, so all you need to do is to update your graphic cards display driver to he newest one and it will be solved without any dll-copying.
