Christmas comes early this year and I've got one doozy of a present for everyone here. I noticed when looking at the default resources in MV that there was an unusually small amount of animals--a smaller amount then most of the other RPG makers, and that will simply not do. I took a look at every other RPG maker's animals and I decided to remake them all for MV. I then also added some new animals that I felt like should be givens for any typical game. I tried to keep them faithful to the MV style, and there are a few I'm not completely satisfied with, and I will try and fix when I can. Current count of unique animal sprites: 50+ (s-so many!)I was also given a suggestion by Skysurfer about running horses. I was not going to do that at first but then I said "challange excepted" and well now we have running horses. (again trying to keep to the MV style) DISCLAIMER: the running horse animation IS 4 frames, so you will either need a plugin for extra frames or you will need to use some other method of using 4 frames in your animations, but it should be usable. Apologies that I could not bring it down to the default three frames, I really did try! But it just was not working like I wanted it to. Alternatively, they can be used in RPG maker XP. For the sake of information, the frames are 64x57, slightly bigger then the original sprite. Terms: As these are (mostly) edits of MV's sprites, you will need a legal copy of RPG maker MV, otherwise~~ Credit is appreciated, but not required. They are free to use for commercial or non commercial. You are free to edit, change, recolor, re-edit, remix, maim, mangle, add on, divide, and conquer to your heart's content. I think the most likely reason is imgur blocks their ip address.

They posted the exact same thing on a different RMMV resource thread. I'd like the mods to monitor YSZH since I think he might be a bot. (The other comment had to be edited by a mod as well. I'm not sure what was changed or removed, but it was probably something that meant trouble.)

So it's 4AM, April first, and I've decided to upload some animals.
But this isn't an April Fool's prank! I swear! I really did just add a bunch of new stuff so let's get to it!

but.....
Frankly I'm not gonna bother posting all of the sprites this time, if you want to see them all they're in the original post. I am tired and the thread's turned into a monster of a post, taking me twice as long now to upload images, so we'll just go over the list quickly:

in the animals category for the new animals we have armadillo, two new variations of lizards, large ones and giant ones, giraffes which I know has been a very long time requested thing, moose and loons! If you followed me on twitter or was a patreon member back a number of years back most of these are not gonna be surprising to you, these were early upload bonuses I released previously and I figure they should come out now.

An exciting new cat might be appealing to many is the sphinx cat because it'll be the first time we have kittens! so with some recoloring you could have your own kitten variations for your games!

Camel also get new animations for both single and two humped versions!

I'm actually pretty proud of these guys, I always was. I believe these were once upon a time requested because folks were looking for new animation variations for the tamed animals, which is fair.

ducks also have some new animations, we now have flying ducks and baby ducks too so now you have ducks that can walk around, swim and fly! and before you ask: yes the babies can work for chickens too.

I've also taken the time to add onto the "fish" section and call it "fish and sealife" now because of all the new Aquatic based life I've added! Once again, if you've been following me for a bit you may already recognize some of them like the seal and sealions but you may not have seen the jellyfish, manta rays-- or their smaller variations

seahorses are also a new addition to the list and one I haven't uploaded anywhere else yet, so I'm excited to show off a new creature to fill your oceans out!

I've only added a few new monsters to the mythical animals list including a giant worm that's vaguely similar to something from Secret of Mana or Illusion of Gaia

and the wolfman *finally* gets pants and looks closer to the battle sprite

I love all your sprites, I've used a few so far.
But I really want to use the running horse for a cut scene but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have a plug in that allows more frames but it still only shows up in "half".

Is there another plug in I need or do I have to manually edit the sprite? I tried editing the sprite to be smaller but then it got super funky because it wasn't aligning properly. This is my first time using large character images so....mistakes will be made lol

If anyone knows a plug in or a guide to help, that'd be amazing.

this is largely dependent on the plugin and since there's always a half a dozen plugins that do roughly the same thing at any one time- I couldn't give you the exact answers--- buuuuttt If it's showing up as a "half" then there's likely something about the image size being wrong. By default, sprites are 48x48 in size, but the running horse sprite happens to be 64x57 so that might be the issue, I just couldn't tell you exactly how to go about doing that lol
