  1. @Streamer The terms state that many of these sprites are edits of MV defaults, they can only be used in RPG Maker engines. You also have to own MV to be able to use them in an RPG Maker engine. It doesn't matter if it's for a non-commercial game or not, if you're using a different engine then you can't use them.
  2. These are amazing. You made spider people!! I would make a new project just to use that.
  3. Hey, I LOVE these sprites. Could I use the fish sprites for a game outside of RPG Maker (I purchased and own RPG Maker, but might want the fish for a website or mobile app). I'll credit you! Thank you.

EDIT: I saw an above comment saying they wouldn't work outside RPG Maker, however, I downloaded the images from the Dropbox link you provided and can just make a sprite system to use them (again, if you'll permit)

Quick note that if the sprite is an edit of a sprite that comes with RPG Maker, then you cannot use it outside of RPG Maker programs and the thread creator couldn't give you permission even if they wanted to.

I'm not sure if that's the case for the fish, though. Hopefully @whtdragon can clarify for you.
  5. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification @Wavelength . I'm just interested in the fish sprites specifically. I'd also like to use a bunch of them for a game within RPG Maker, which as already stated was fine so that's good.
  6. Excellent work really.
    Thanks for sharing!
  7. Mind...blown! You really are a serious legend!
  8. Hey! These sprites are great! But when I use the Behemot-Sprite for example, the Maker only places one part of the sprite, not the sprite at a whole. how can i fix it? I just download the file direct from the thread above, to the maker file?
  9. I might be incorrect here, but of all the sprites offered I believe the Behemoth one in particular isnt animated. Just given multiple sprites to layer or do something else creative with. If im off base on this, please feel free to remove my post.
  10. @NapoleonSaga It's because the Behemoth is a single sprite, as opposed to 8 sprites which is what the software reads as standard. If you add a dollar sign $ in front of your filename the program will read it as a single sprite. You can read up more here.
  11. They're amazing ! I love the cute Carbuncle thingy , never heard of it, so I searched it up and got unpleasont results... Very beautiful sprites, thank you for sharing ^____^
  12. I love the designs a lot, but I was wondering... Would you would be willing to make an edit of the black and white carbunkle to match it slightly more with the available cat in MV?
edit 1: The intention is to have a character that can back and forth between cat and carbunkle form.
  13. This is it, this is the BEST thread. More than enough animals and creatures to make a 100 hour rpg without a single effing human being appearing once. Merry Christmas whtdragon I <3 you and your incredible work (now make corgis w/ bandanas pretty pwease).
  14. How do I download these, I'm just an RM noob over here, working on my first project game, so I clearly don't have all that much experience with downloading assets.
    --------
    EDIT
    --------
Nevermind, when I right clicked, "save as image" wasn't an option at first, but it's working now, so all good.
  15. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Wonderful job!
I wanted more animals in my game and you came up with amazing work. Even 4 years later.
    Thank you!
  17. It seems I can't use the donkey sprites properly. The sheet seems to have a weird size and after I tried to fix that, rpg maker mv still cuts off a part of the donkey's ears.

Also, thank you so much for these sprites! I'm making a game with animal characters so these are super useful!
  18. I don't know if this was asked before, but I will be greatful for a reply:
Am I allowed to use these sprites if I use RPG Maker VXAce? or are they MV exclusive? (I mean: is it legally allowed?)

I personally don't mind if you use them for VXA, but since the majority of the sprites -are- edits or built off of the original MV sprites, it's a bit of a legal gray area and would fall under the RPG maker creator's legal rules. If you do not own MV, you do not have the license to use them.

having said that... A portion of the sprites I did build from the ground up, and do not follow that MV guideline. allow me to list them:
    Pomeranians
    Baby chicks
    Seagull
    Ostrich
    penguins
    Monkeys
All animals under the "very small animals" tag
All animals under the "fishes" tag
    Golems
    Walking mushroom
    Mini mushroom men
    Running radish
    Kasa-obake
    Kappa
    Ghosts
    Ariman
    Catbear
    Werewolf/wolfbeast
    Behemoth
all animals under the "dragons" tab EXCEPT for the "dragon recolors" and "cute fat lil' dragons" (as the wings come from MV sprites)
