Where do you see yourself 3 years from now?

  1. Do you see yourself having released a successful game? In a new career? Married with kids? Or something else?

I personally see myself probably in a similar situation i'm in now, but abroad somewhere. Having improved my spriting ability and learned to script. Hopefully meet the girl of my dreams and marry her. And have finished a successful game, and possibly working on a sequel to it, or one of my other game ideas.
  2. Standing on the side of a road, holding a sign saying - "I'm like Obama, I want change."

(or at home eating more hamburgers, which ever happens first)
  3. I do this RPG Maker thing for fun but it definitely is important to me since fun is very important. In three years I'd sure hope to have my first major game out. This IGMC is a test run of the program, and boy! Who knows though? My main game.  I will finish it (my soul just requires such things of myself) but it's going to take a lot of work, it's shaping up to be a longer title, I'm doing a lot of custom things for it, and it will mostly be by myself, too!

But other things. I don't think I'll be married quite yet. Definitely no kids. I'd like a better job but I've always thrown caution to the wind and just went with life. I might get an advanced degree. Haven't decided yet!
  4. Quite frankly there's no point of thinking about the future...seriously.

I personally don't bother thinking too much about it when the present is already so messed up, if I'll continue doing well what I like to do, my future will be without doubt bright (that's for sure).

Think about the Present to design your Future.
  5. I'm the same way, Dalph. People always ask me what my plans for the future are. And I'm typically, "Uhhh, I Dunno? I'll end up where I end up and my decisions in the present will determine that well enough. I guess I'm not an opportunity seeker but they do often find a way to toward me anyway.
  6. I've gotta agree with Dalph and Ms Littlefish on this. I always tend to keep goals I'd like to strive for, but I've never seen much point in wondering what will happen. It also runs the risk of making you think you'll get to a future like that by just thinking about it rather than actually working for it.

Realistically, I'd either be in college studying some sort of diabolical arts, or wandering around the country aimlessly. And, it's before noon, so I'd probably be asleep.
  7. When i say I see myself, I mean it would be a nice outcome. But whatever happens as long as i'm well and alive, i'm sure whatever outcome happens will be a happy one.
  8. As I started getting older my thoughts on what and where my future seemed to narrow. Living in America these past years has been nothing but problems for me so in 3 years? I think in 3 years I will be dead. Maybe the crime in this country will have something to do with it, or the horrible healthcare system that bankrupts it's people. I try not to think about it and enjoy life but I am to old to ignore the world around me.
  9. Hopefully in 3 years I will have lots of graphic packs out, they'll do very well and I'll be financially stable.
  10. Alive.
  11. Hopefully close to the release of my next game, or already released and enjoying popularity while working on the third! :)
  12. Same job, same girl, would be perfect.
  13. Still in university, I hope. Hahaha. And still studying what I'm studying right now. I'll never know which course I might end up studying in the future. I'm weird that way.
  14. Hopefully, I had a studio set-up and my first commercial released by that game... Else I think I'd be having quite a number of free games released by that time, if all goes well... Married, probably not as my GF wants to give it around 5 years or so more
  15. Released my game,learned RGSS.
  16. Pretty much where I am now, only improved in the ways that seem meaningful along the way. I don't really look that far ahead: it's all about living happily in the now. Tomorrow I might be hit by a seagull going 500mph. It's not unlikely.
  17. Alive and maybe married.
  18. In all honesty I'd like to be working in a game related job but not necessarily for myself. Working for somebody like Degica would be great. Ideally I'd like to work for Jagex, but that's the longest shot in the world.

I'd definitely not like to still be working retail.
  19. 3 years from now, I think I will be able to sell my first major game release.
