What would you like to learn someday?

  1. It can be RM related or not, it can be anything at all.

Personally, I'd like to learn the pedal harp someday.  Something about its sound is just magical. Ever since I was a little kid I've loved it (That, the organ and the piano). :D

I incorporate it into a lot of my music too

What about you? What would YOU like to learn someday? It could be something like this to learning to... I don't know... crochet or something.

    ^_^
  2. When I was in middle school, I always wanted to learn as many languages as I could. I used to always befriend the exchange students, and so I learned phrases in Mandarin and Korean (mostly swear words in Korean). I took French and Spanish all throughout highschool, and taught myself Hiragana before giving that up. Beyond that, I never learned anything further of those languages except for French. I live in Quebec now, and so while my Spanish has mostly been forgotten, my French gets a decent amount of practice by virtue that most of the people I work with tend to speak French to each other. I hardly ever try and speak it, though, so until I get braver and actually try and practice it properly, it's going to improve extremely slowly. My reading and writing skills are 10x better than my oral skills.

So yeah, someday, when I can afford to travel, I'd like to pick up with where little-me left off, and try and learn some languages.
  3. Magic, so I can unleash the fury of the elements at those who dare to oppose me  ;)

In all honesty, I'd love to become a better artist. I used to draw every single day, even tried to apply to an art school and over all these years I just completely stopped.

Given the amount of things I'm doing I rarely find time to draw as whenever I try I just find myself looking at it and going '' :| ''...
  4. My favourite instrument is the violin and I'd love to be able to play it. I keep meaning to take up lessons, but something always gets in the way. I'll get 'round to it one day.
  5. EVERYTHING.  But for now, learn Japanese, how to make stuff in Blender, how to do traditional animation, how to build furniture, how to write music, and enough coding to let me customize my favorite engines.  At least, that's what I'm working on currently if you don't count the stuff that I can already do and I'm learning how to get better at.  I like learning as long as it's not in a school setting.
  6. I want to learn how to build a Tiny House. :)
  7. Tiny houses are cool, I can totally see why you'd want to.  I think I'd like to make one someday too, but I want to start even smaller, like with a teardrop trailer.
  8. I would like to learn Norwegian, how to ride a bike, and sew (hopefully the latter two in the next two years)!
  9. Astrophysics and bio-molecular engineering. It's where the good stuff is.
  10. I'd like to learn how to play piano, guitar, and banjo (yes, banjo!).

Also I'd like to learn Japanese as well as get reacquainted with Spanish.  I completely forgot all my Spanish :(
  11. Anything RM related or game making in general would be programming. It sparked my interest after seeing that there's plenty of people here who at least understands how it works to making a games from scratch, I'm, currently reading books about it and doing some exercises about an hour each day. So, good luck to me.

Also, FL studio. I can compose using anything that uses sheet music and FL studio's interface and terms are so alien to me.

Personally, I'd love to learn how to play the violin and/or cello. Its just nice to pair them up to a piano which I'm already pretty good at judging from what my peers would say.

I'd also love to learn how to talk. I mean without the stuttering, constantly trying to remember what I just said a few seconds ago and using F-bombs to fill in the words that I forget.
  12. Wow, so many awesome things. Love it!

Edit: I also want to learn to play the drums and the timpanis.  I LOVE the thunderous sound the make that makes your whole chest vibrate from the bass.

    And the cello.
  13. To finally be able to read Japanese. I understand most Japanese written in romanji, and thus also when spoken--enough to not have to read subtitles in most anime. But I still want a proper understanding of the language, so I want to be able to read kanji, hiragana and katakana. I've been working on it in hobby capacity for about eight years, and I really want to get a proper grasp on it soon for a few good reasons :3
  14. Sign language. We actually have quite a few deaf clients and I already know some basic signs to help my customers through our transactions. But I already love the small ways we interact and would just love to learn the whole language!
  15. How to actually take over the world.
  16. How to make enough money in one day to never have to worry about money again without doing anything dangerous or illegal.
  17. I'd love to learn how to speak Japanese, and how to play le drums.

Do you have any particular sign language in mind?

I briefly tried to learn sign language until I learned that there wasn't just The sign language but instead several languages.

I kinda want to learn French and German someday. I know that day will probably never occur, but I still would like to learn one or two of those languages.

    *hugs*

  19. Given where I live and what spoken languages I know, I would probably want to learn ASL.
