  1. I just downloaded and used a game plus the project about switches.

I had been working on my own project. I had saved it and then closed it.

Then I opened that tutorial game and project.

Afterwards at first I couldn't find my own project. So I want to the location and it was zipped, so i un-zipped it there and created a new folder for it where I put everything in of that project.

Then I opened the project but I had completely lost all the progress, meaning mostly events, on the two maps which actually had events.

Then I tried to open the cloud version, but then it just shut down the rpg maker and steam with it.

Now when I open steam en then the rpg maker it closes steam and the maker..
  2. Can you try reinstalling your RPG Maker VXA?
  3. Did you buy RPG Maker Ace?

Does it say RVprject2 file on the editor program?
  4. Yes I bought the game a while ago via a steam sale but just really started using it seriously this week. I'm now in the process of redownloading/installing it via steam. Will let you know if this fixed my problem.
  5. If I am correct in what you mean then yes it does. but so did the other editor program (which is in a completely different place)

    sorry for double post, can't find the delete button so I can't last minute merge my two posts -_-;;;

re-installing did not fix the issue :S
  6. Triple post :D

Followed a suggestion on the steam forum to revert back to the pre workshop enhanced version. (Properties -> Betas -> Pre workshop version) This seems to have fixed the issue for me, kinda strange but I'm just glad it now works.
  7. The fact that it shut down Steam as well, makes me think that it might actually be Steam that is causing the problem, have you tried reinstalling Steam on your computer?

(On a side note, try to use the 'Edit' option instead of posting back to back.)
  8. I would completely uninstall the version you have now. restart your computer then reinstall it. I haven't heard of steam having any issues at this time.
  9. MistressDarna, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

When you "saved" your game, did you SAVE it or did you COMPRESS it? RPG Maker does not use or create zip files when saving projects.
