what pixel art tools do people use?

are their any pixel art tools the you can recommend for making art for mv? do most people just use the gimp/Photoshop?

I use a mix of Photoshop and Pyxel Edit.

Graphics Gale has a *very* nice curve tool. It's a good pure pixel art program and you can make tiles with it by using the tile preview feature.

For color adjustments, post- and batch processing photoshop/gimp is best IMO.

Krita isn't great for pixel art but it makes very nice tiles. And while these aren't for pixel art either, I use Sai or Clip Studio Paint for stuff like portraits.

GraphicsGale is my go-to pixel art tool since 2008! Archeia is the one that has shown it to me! :D

I use Pyxel edit. MV's default size is really big for pixel art though.

I don't know much but if it's pixel like pokemon crystal games, my friend made it using photoshop with 500% zoom and started filling it block by block
