What do you want to do in the next five years?

I thought it would be interesting to make a thread about what we all want to do in the next five years.

Basically in this thread just say what you want to get achieved, whether it's to do with any game projects or a guy or girl you want to marry. Put it here, because I'm nosy! :stickytongue: Nah, just kidding, I'm just interested and curious :smile:

I'll put what I want to do first.

O.K, what I want to do in the next five years!

1) Become a singer - I used to do a lot of singing, and from what I've been told I have a somewhat unique voice. When I was at school I was in a band called Bam! and we used to perform gigs in our village, we did birthday parties, Christmas parties and even played at my cousin's wedding. I felt like I was famous, in my village everyone knew my name, but sadly I had to stop because life sort of got in the way. I'd love to do this professionally. . . maybe in the next five years.

2) Buy my parent's their home - A nice house out in the English countryside. They're really happy there so I'd love to buy that for them.

3) Finish my game with my brother - With real voice overs done by me and a massive game with a great story and lots of cool features, we're really hoping this will be a game to be remembered by everyone here and the whole world!

4) Learn to drive - I own a 1994 Volvo 850 SE which I'm hoping to learn to drive next year, right now it's sat outside deteriorating so I really need to get a move on with this.

5) Publish a book - I love to write and I think it would be fab to release my own book, maybe an RPG one about the history of RPGs?

6) Meet the one and get married.

My Goal For Life is to be a woman people, young and old, can look up to and be inspired by. I want to make a difference whilst I'm here and love and care for my family :smile:

Hmm... well--let's see...

I hope to have my game completed. Maybe finally get back into playing in a band... thinking maybe jazz or blues again, I think I'm officially done playing punk rock unless I can get back with my old pals--then punk rock all the way.

I also hope to not be dead, at least until I can finish my game. Maybe also build that metal forge in my back yard like I'd been wanting, and make swords and knives.

Also--want to finally get my pilot's license--another license to add to my collection that I'll probably never use.

I hope to ;

A) Be as happy as I am at this moment in life
B) Still be around and kicking
C) Be about halfway with my project

Yeah, that'll do :)

My only goal is to find a job xD And if I dare to dream, to find job that pays enough to survive on my own without having to share a flat/house.

Have a better life ヽ(*´□｀*)ッ

I just want to get better job and build inteligent house.

Move up from Supervisor of my section, to Supervisor of another and get on track for bigger Leadership roles.

Buy a house so I can have two kitties.

Visit my friends in California and Oregon. Visit my friends in Canada as well.

Go visit Florida and see the ocean. Visit Australia.

Start dating an amazing woman (ah, my standards are simply too high for this to ever happen, but I know what I want, and that sort of woman does exist, but she's so so so so rare) and maybe get a family started.

Finish the first couple chapters of my RPG game. Not because I want to make money, but because I have a story I want to tell.

Maybe finish writing a book and publish it somewhere.

Okay, it's more like a 30 year plan.

Finish my game.

make a bunch of goofy, silly and dumb games and play some kick-ass goofy games.

I don't know why, but this reminds me of "I want to fill the world.... with silly love songs... what's wrong with that? I'd like to know... 'cause here I go... againnnnnnn!!!"

Find out what I really want to in life..

I wanna make silly games of all variety. platformers, adventures, run n' guns, all kinds of oddball stuff I can think up!... but with the current engine I use RPGs and Adventure games are the sound options for now!

I want to continue working and be able to make more games as hobby while trying to aim for a promotion in my existing job in the next 5 years.

Does "Be happier and lazier than I currently am right now in life" count? Probably not.

I hope in 5 years I have this place payed off and it is all mine.

Five years is such a short micro-time in the scheme of things.

Maybe then I will have another goal to achieve. :D

1) Meet my man in New Mexico and start a life with him.

2) Go somewhere nice to live.

3) Feed kangaroos

4) Visit Australia. Goes hand-in-hand with 3.

- To become completely self-sustainable on what I love doing (game-making and graphic design).
- To get married.
- To travel to at least a few more places I've not been to before.
- To learn at least a couple of new skills.
- To be significantly wiser than I am now.

Get a degree, make a career in networking, buy a house and maybe get married...
large plans...

Finish my degree.
Finish Starheart.
Be hired by the place I'm currently interning.
Have an SO.
Be working on or finish my novel.

I do not plan so far ahead.
Too much can change in these times.
My future is currently a gamble anyway.
