  1. We all know most of us here are a fan of games and anime. Anything else you are keenly interested in? Be it a show, a person, an activity or sport.. Share it with us!

I am a fan of basketball, tennis, british game shows, garlic bread and Stephen King. A lot more to mention, but I'd love to hear yours!
  2. Mainly Anime, JRPG and bacon, but there are others I love and that is a good story, a good fantasy story brings me joy, also love kittens and ah yes! cute girls, gotta love cute girls.
  3. Music (Genesis is my fav band) and food (italian, japanese, chinese etc.) mostly.

I'm also a "fan" of writing stories, as an activity. :p
  4. I'm fans of Fripside (Japanese music band), Ruby Rose from RWBY (I still put her portrait as a desktop background since RWBY was airing at the first time), WRPGs (I love open worlds!). I'm also fans of any short-haired girl. At least, those are what is coming out from my mind.
  5. Games and movies.
  6. I've always been a fan of professional wrestling, particuarly ROH and early TNA/WWE (though both current products are better than they've been for the past 5 years, especially the former; ROH's always been good so I can't really comment on that).

My favorite shows are Home Movies, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and South Park.

I love anime too. I'm only a recent fan though. But ever since Attack on Titan, I became more hooked. Steins;Gate sealed the deal for me. I ended up watching Angel Beats!, Anohana and Clannad and I'm currently going through Clannad: After Story. I tend to stray away from the persistent anime like Naruto or Bleach that tend to just go on and on and never stop. I'd rather not waste so much of my life on one series. Sometimes even if they have 25 episodes I get tired of the same one by then. Anohana was short yet sweet: 11 episodes and it told a great story.

I get the feeling a lot of people here a fan of stories - this is a JRPG making site, after all. JRPGs are heavily story-oriented, and even if you can't write stories, you at least like them. And those that tend to like an activity generally want to be the best at it and be famous throughout the world, or at least create something passable that they can be proud of.

Breaking Bad is the best show of all time. Of all time, yo! I feel like Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift's Grammy acceptance speech. Rick and Morty and Community are also my jams.

But, I must say, my main obsession is film. I love film. I want to screenwrite someday, but I know it'll be for some little movie for my church or something. But I plan to do that anyway.

I watch a lot of film. If you want a riveting conversation about film and know your stuff, I'm the guy to contact. I mean, of course there's better film buffs than me, but I consider myself quite knowledgeable. I mean, I'm not skilled in many areas (not even my area of study) but I reckon I'd make a good film critic. That is, if I got better at writing, which will probs never happen. But I can articulate movie and narrative devices kinda well. Ah, who am I kidding, I'm a consumer! I don't care about letting people know whether something is worthwhile or not - I just want to strut my stuff and pretend like this consuming of media I am constantly up to is somewhat worthwhile - when it clearly isn't! So what if I'm a dreamer. Dreamers live! Dreams never die. Real ones, that is.

Other obsessions include pizza-eating, iced-coffee-drinking, and belching. I am a fan of passionate people, passionate women, and women. I'm a fan of women - what can I say?
  8. I'm a fan of women - what can I say?
A lot of men are, I'd say. :p
  9. Compiling lists; massaging my narcissism; and sardonic, self-referential humor.
  10. I am a fan of the following:

    • writing (novels mostly)
    • creating original characters
    • playing video games
    • anime (I'm picky, though)
    • anything fantasy
    • reading books
    • drawing
    • pixel art
    • plushies resembling cute animals or mascots
    • unique dolls (not mainstream, but includes Ball-Jointed Dolls)
    • animals (cats, rabbits, sheep, etc.)

That's about it for me! :p I didn't know I liked so many things...
  11. Board Games. Marvel Comics. Transformers. GI Joe.

I'm trying to think of like, IPs rather than specific hobbies.

Not sure if some of these are fans or hobbies :p
  13. Oh, C.S. Friedman, one of the best authors that flies under the radar a lot.

Ooh. I forgot to say that I am a fan of making lists too! My fandom of list-making and films often collide, as I very carefully re-order my Best Films of All Time list with a fine-toothed comb and weed out any inconsistencies that brew in my head.

You're right. I kind of defaulted into hobby mode there. I'd say I'm a huge David O. Russell fan. His films are phenomenal. Also Paul Thomas Anderson. There Will Be Blood is fantastic, and Punch Drunk Love... omg. I also love Marlon Brando. Jennifer Lawrence is hot. I'm fans of these people.

I'm also a slight chiptune fan lately. Maxo's been a jam. Aside from chiptune, music-wise I'm into the wonky scene. I'm a big Cashmere Cat fan, a big S-Type fan, a big Hudson Mohawke fan, and a big Alizzz fan. I'm not so hot on Rustie though. His mixing is average. Apart from that, I'm a fan of hip-hop music, EDM trap, and Jersey Club.

I'm a Community fan, I'm a Rick and Morty fan.

    RM-wise, I'm a fan of SnowOwl's games. I'm a fan of Suzy and freedom. I'm a fan of anything with a soul.

And I am a huge fan of passionate people. If you are passionate for what you believe in, I am rooting for you. Sometimes even if I don't agree with what you represent, as long as you represent it passionately, I respect that you've taken the effort to actually stand for something. I am also a fan of a man/woman with great ambition. I would rather a person have great ambition and fail then succeed at doing the very little he has set out to do. The me-myself-and-my-little-compact-house attitude I find hard to accept. Maybe I'm a perfectionist, even though I'd say I'm not. But I just can't see a person not aiming high in life and say, "That's what I want to be." It doesn't work for me.
  15. What am I a fan of? Hmm...landscape art(and other arts), fast draw, hockey, literature, music(most music; more classic rock, punk and synth metal than anything else.), barrel racing, good foods and positive people in general.

I would rather a person have great ambition and fail then succeed at doing the very little he has set out to do.
    Spoiler
Success and happiness isn't really so cut and dry as you make it sound, and in a relative sense next to no one on earth has made an impact strong enough to truly last 100 years after their passing(and most of the ones that have, are generally accepted to have been a negative impact to our current existence in the first place) statistically. I bought into the idea that you had to 'be somebody' to have worth and that a simple existence would != a real life; but that whole mentality is complete crap. I pushed myself and stroked my ego with ambition up to the point where my choices were to either hit rock bottom and start over without such ambitions or else turn it all off, thankfully I chose the first option and realized that none of my ambitions were what I truly wanted out of life in the first place. Outside of my family and loved ones and maybe a couple of close friends, the world is not likely to notice my passing. But I'm happy now, whilst when trying to prove my 'worth' to the world killing myself was actually the best case scenario that I could imagine for my future at one point.

So I'm definitely not a fan of ambition, but I am a fan of happiness. People should always pursue happiness for themselves and for the lives they are lucky enough to touch on a day by day basis. For me, nothing I can accomplish in life for myself will matter enough to me for such things to make me truly happy. I'm happy being an unemployed Mr. Mom living in rural nowhere; many would call me an unambitious failure, but I'm on the road to succeeding at everything that truly matters to me. That's what I've learned in life, I just want to be happy and make other people happy. How I do that is less important, and some people are truly happy with their high aspirations; but many others are miserable right now because they refuse to accept anything less than the social norm of 'reaching for the stars'. Passion, on the other hand, is wonderful. Always do what you do with passion and zeal, whether you think it's something that matters or not. You never know which mundane activity in life might lead you towards something that truly matters to you.
  16. Hm... actually yeah, I think you're probably right. I was thinking of ambitions like wanting to make the world a better place, connecting people together and making an altogether more beautiful world. But I forgot that the word "ambition" has a lot of negatives to it, too, especially if that ambition is for the wrong reasons. If ambition hurts you, then it can be very detrimental. Perhaps I should rephrase it by saying, I'm a big fan of people who have the ambition to help the world. And if you don't have that ambition, then that's OK, looking after the household you've been given is OK. But I do still have a great appreciation for those with big ambitions to help make the world a brighter place, no matter how cliche that may sound.

Yeah... I can sometimes sputter out things that I don't really mean. Oops. :S
  17. Definitely a fan of teeters if ya know what i mean  :guffaw:
  18. If you'll allow me to get very non-specific. If this gets a bit ramble-y it's because I'm cup of coffee # 4 which brings me to...

    * I have a huge thing for tea and coffee. I know it's a bad idea to make breakfast tea at 10:30 PM but I love breakfast tea. I swear I fall asleep in ten minutes anyway.

    * Classical music. I definitely prefer things from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras but I'll listen to it all.

    * Along the same vein, film score. I'm not a big movie watcher but films with a full score turn into a trip to the symphony. There are many movie plots I'm wishy-washy on but I'll know the film score.

    * Writing word documents. My fingers fly. I regurgitate whatever thought is sifting in my head into a word document. The material I've composed for my game is currently around 300 pages. Will I use it all? Most definitely not. Doesn't make it any less enjoyable.

    * Not to get too girly on you, but lipstick.

    * I have a thing for metal with any utilization of folk or orchestral instruments. I also like bands with female leads. Most well known example would probably be Nightwish.

    * Kurt Vonnegut

    * Ethnic Foods. All kinds.

    * Documentaries. Especially about archaeology, astrophysics, and the history of way back when.

    * Jazz

    * Kind of that early 1900's time period.

I have many others. No need to overload the system though.
  19. Movies and Games. That's it.
  20. Bionicle. Period.
