  1. Sooo.. ..I don't know what movies are.. what are they used for?

    I'm kinda new.. so.. help..?
  2. I've seen a few vids on youtube about this, because Ihad been wondering about it myself. Basically, you can create an event which, instead of showing text or a picture, actually plays a video clip. they can't be flash movies, though which is a bummer, but if you have a video set up for a cutscene or something, it's kinda neat. Most devs, though, I've noticed rely more on creative use of pictures and text, plus whatever coolness they can whip up with scripts.
  3. Movies are .OGV Video files you can use them to make animated cut-scenes. Like a cut-Scenes movie in some games I tend to find it way more complicated using this method though. most people tend to lean on the pictures side of things.
  4. ...? Wha..?
  5. Like my grandfather always said..

    Say whaa..?
  6. It was explained in this thread pretty clearly. The way the "movie" command works is that it plays a movie that is stored in its respective file, like any other resource. The file format is OGV, which isn't commonly supported, so you need might need to convert whatever movie you want to make into that file before importing it to your game.

Some things to know is that the BGM playing on your map in RMVXAce will also play over whatever sound your movie is also playing, so you need to be aware of this and turn that BGM off temporarily. Also, it seems not all computers have the capacity to play those movies. This is why it's probably not a commonly used feature in games.
  7. Sorry, I kinda don't understand English very much. But I finally understand now.

    Case closed.
