I'm having this weird save project issue with VX Ace.
Work needed me to go out of town for a week. So I copied my current project onto my laptop so I could work on it while I was sitting in the hotel room at night. So I got home thinking I could just copy the project back on my main PC and continue the work from there. NOT SO EASY IT SEEMS! Even though I deleted the old project from my PC and copied the version I worked on from my laptop onto my PC. Every time I try to open the saved project file that is now on my PC, it keeps opening up to the older version even though I deleted it off my computer. If I connect the external drive that I saved the new updated project on while I was away, to my PC and open up that file. Then it does bring up the current version of the project. I just don't understand why it keeps opening up the older project on the PC even though I deleted off of my PC!
Did that make any sense?
Using the steam version of VX Ace if that matters.

The steam version can't open a project by doubleclicking on the project file.
Whenever you click on a project file (no matter which one) the steam version will open the last project you worked on with that computer.
To change to a different project, you need to use the menu commands "open project" or "manage projects" - if you open the project file from there, it will open the correct project.
That is one of the quirks due to the fact that Steam uses its own starting mechanism and can't be changed.
