Ok so my daughter has fallen in love with this little video on utube. Keep in mind she's only 3, she'll turn 4 in a couple of months.. so it is a kid's video :)
So we love singing it to her and making all the faces that the kids in the video makes cause it just makes her giggle like crazy. We've also tried added on new food combos to the song. One of her favorite meals is an over easy fried egg. So we do egg/chocolate. Or Jelly Beans and Chicken Nuggets.. well you get the idea :)
So what foods can you think of that's great by itself but its just... wrong when combined with something else?

I think all nice foods work well together.
Aso, your examples are flawed :
Egg/Chocolate : Creme Egg

and I would totally dip my nuggets in a liquid-y jelly bean mixture <3 -
I can't think of anything specific right off the top of my head. But sometimes when I ask my boyfriend ideas for a side dish he'll suggest things that pretty much translates to, "I would like a meat dish with a side dish of more meat." Or we'll already have a lot of starch and he'll want another starch. And I'm all, "Do you even know how to food group?"
Either that or we'll be having a main dish with a lot of Mediterranean flavors but he wants a side dish with a lot of Latin flavors. I mean, sure, it will all taste good. But I try to make dinners that all compliment each other. -
Meg, that is so funny. Tell Nick I'm laughing at him.
I think one of the strangest things I've seen anyone eat was on backpacking trip I went on in high school. One of our leaders was using up foods that were leftover and he put peanut butter and spam on a tortilla and ate it. Blech! -
Yeah I'm the one in my relationship that is bad at coordinating the sides. I do ooh I like this and I like that.. or it's been a while since we've had this side.
And eww @mlogan!. That reminds me of when I was a kid and my little brother was experimenting with his food and he'd pour orange juice in his cereal instead of milk or ketchup in his mash potatoes (which I guess some folks do).. or pouring kool-aid over his food.
I guess some jelly beans might be ok as a sauce, but it still makes me shutter ;) -
Jelly bean sauce for the win ^_^
-
sweet and salty work well and so does sweet and spicy like sea salt chocolate, chili chocolate, bacon donuts and salted caramel.

Carrot Cake! That is all...
Tis a compete abomination to humanity imo... -
NOOO I love carrot cake! ;)
And call a dentist? :p -
Venka is my hero on both accounts!
-
omg not you too...
Also, dont put vegetables in cake, thats not right... Surely that is cruelty to the cake... -
LOL sorry couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon. Someday I'll have to join the skype chat ;)
-
LOL, Venka! You just made my night.
And to stay on topic. Carrot cake, zucchini bread. These are amazing. Shut your mouth, Dekita! -
I rarely partake in the skype chat.. Last time I did it has 50k+ unread messages. Too many people talking at once sometimes :p
and nooooooooooooooooooo, you people are insane. -
I like carrot cake.
But I'll eat frosting on rolls and bread or ranch dressing on eggs, spaghetti, pizza and fish, so idk if I'm the best person to ask. -
Bread + cheese + Chili Sauce + Metworst + Kaiser Salad is a nice combo.
-
I have been known to have a ranch dressing problem. I am mostly healed from my horrible addiction but it's hard to fight at times. Pizza is hard, man.I like carrot cake.

My brother had a friend that put ranch on everything she ate.. Namely popcorn and pizza
-
Can I put mini marshmallows in rice krispies with warm milk? is that legit?
-
Captain Crunch + Cheese crackers is amazing. Or maybe everything tastes amazing at 3am. I dunno.
I've never liked cheese with any vegetables, though. As for weird combinations, try mushrooms with marshmallows. : )
