Due to the forums shutting down, if you ever wanted to download my tall sprites, now's the last chance to do it.

Right, these were made to fit MV but they're not MV so I think this thread belongs in General Resources? Anyway, I've been working on tall sprites for a bit and feel I ought to round it all up in one place.

Terms of Use: Free to use either non-commercial games or commercial games with credit to Wayward Martian Graphics. I'd like to see what you end up doing with them, but that part's a suggestion rather than a command.
Editing is allowed, I just want credit for the parts I did.
DO NOT USE FOR AI TRAINING, NFTs, OR OTHER AI BULLSHIT.

GENERAL ANSWERS:
- Yes, I'm already working on a few behaviour bases.
- Yes, the intent is to make packs for sale once I sort out some other stuff.
- No, my update schedule is pretty random, though at this point I'm pretty much guaranteed for Advent.
- No, you don't have to use the names I give them. I just give them names because it helps me keep track of them.
- No, I am not known for taking requests.
- No, there is no generator. I make these in Photoshop. You can use the bases to put your own outfits on, use the premade characters, or edit either. No generator exists.

New character, since I'm trying to keep on a monthly schedule:
I was trying to make a sorceress and ended up with a Space Diplomat, though nothing says she can't still be a sorceress. In theory she should be on the Bonus Characters sheet but the board is doing that thing again where reuploaded images don't show changes immediately. :p

Big ol' update. First, the character of the month. The original idea was a generic guard, but that is way less interesting to me than an animated armour.
Thus, Chalceus - I'll be adding them to the Bonus Characters sheet, whenever the board accepts I want the updated version shown. :p

And a couple of behaviour sheets - hand-holding and kissing, both modular so you can swap around whatever characters you've made the behaviour sprites for instead of needing to make each action as a couple.




And, as a bonus, some premade smooching so you can see how it works. I picked the two elf characters I had solely for the Elfkisser joke:

just saw these now, loving 'em! no such thing as too many tall sprites!

I'd been picking at these child bases for ages but a few weeks ago a friend of mine needed a kid character for something so I went and finished it up. So I figured I ought to do a kid Character of the Month: I'm calling her Lupita and we'll see when the Bonus Characters sheet updates. :p

And because I have the child bases finished, child bases. I just added a couple of elf and orc ones to fill out the sheet since the base is unisex:

I know I usually put up stuff on a monthly basis but I finished up my dwarf bases and wanted to show them off.


Like the elves and the orcs I gave them new skin colours but they can be recoloured easily enough. I also like my dwarves to have pointy ears so they got little pointy ears, and I put a wider chin and thicker eyebrows on the male.

Another big update! Starting with the character-of-the month, Neshah Copperbeard because of course I had to make a dwarf: Merchant? Wizard? Noble? Whatever else he is, he is a fancy fellow.

New bases for wizards, for hovering and for spellcasting. For the spellcasting, put the glow on the bottom layer, then the sparkles, then the body over top:

I have also made minor changes to the dwarf bases and the first bonus characters sheet, so if you downloaded those before, download them again for the update. :p And to make things easier, I've put together a zip file for everything up in the first post.

With @WaywardMartian permission, from time to time, will contribute with edits and post it on here. Although the file name on this will say "male" at the end, I do not think it'd matter if Male or Female. For this one, the feet are covered as if he/she/terminator is sitting on the ground near a pond or something. Whatever terms of use in this thread is use for this picture and any others I edits in the future as well. May even make clothing in the future. Don't know about hair yet as I'm not that good. Enjoy and peace out.

And just so it's fully clear, I DO permit edits of the sprites and bases in this thread. As long as everyone who put work in gets credit, I'm happy. So if you're just using my bases you'd credit me, if you're using JacSkulls' edits, you'd credit both of us. If you do an edit, I'd want you to be credited as well if someone used your edit.

Chose to do one of those arm raise. Did the edits from both Wizard and Human base. The Sprite I use is WaywardMartian's Tall Sprite. If there's any issue with my edit, feel free to give me a shout out. I'll get to you whenever I can.

I was working on something but it's not looking right yet so all's that's new from me this month is the latest character. This is Mulligan Spangles, to serve all your snake oil salesman/demon ringmaster/heroic magician who happens to be a demon needs:

The zip file is updated and the sprite sheet will update whenever the board lets it.

Finally made a generic guard. And then I changed his colours a bit after making the animation to make him less vibrant. An NPC guard is supposed to be part of the scenery, not steal the show:

Should have been working on more but really I just blew most of my free time last month playing Stardew Valley. ¬_¬

I thought I'd just release Cricket and some palette-swap Crickets from my little exploration game.
