  1. Couple of hair pieces to tide you over - the princess from People3 and a couple variations of the standard generator hair RearHair_07.

  2. Oh my god. You are killing me with the well tileset and modular banners. Killing. Me. As in--you have saved me so much time for trying to create a dang tree for a green banner and because I spent time making my own custom well and it is no where near as good as that.

    Must. Use.
  3. Thank you so much for the work you've done with this! It's made such a huge difference in the look of my game.

I saw that you've made some incredible additional clothing options for Females and you stated that it's possible to use them for the Male body template as well. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. My hunch is to make copies of the clothing and rename them to fit the Male naming structure. Is that true? Apologies, I'm very new to all of these and art is my biggest weakness (which is why your templates and sprites are a godsend!). I'm using TAB Generator from Anyone. Thanks again, really appreciate what you've done for all of us.
  4. @NeatoYeeto - Some stuff's possible to swap between the male and female bodies, some isn't. The sprite bases are almost the same size but the males have wider shoulders, thicker waists, and flatter chests. The hair can be used on any sprite due to how it's designed, and accessories should all be able to fit anybody.

In the TAB Generator, you can just swap male and female pieces around at will - picking one body type doesn't lock the hair or clothing options to that type, so you can just go to Hair or Clothing or whatever and select the other bodytype from the dropdown and use those pieces instead. ( Unless the generator's changed since I last played with it. )
  5. I'm not quite done with this yet, maybe about 95% happy with it, but trying my own version of a 64px tall sprite to work with a 48px grid. So the sprite in progress if you want to see how it moves and a sample map of how it scales against different objects.

Looks quite good, though the arms seem a little to short maybe? They don't quite match up with the length of the legs and go far enough down below the hip?

From what I can tell, it's a 68p pixel sprite, but you're probably going to make the sprite size a bit bigger to make room for hair & head accessories?
  7. is this new body compatible with the DF pieces you already made?

also, kinda making diagonal movement of your DF templates for personal use, do you mind if I make them public? I can post them here later if you want?

I'll try a longer-arms version when I get back to prodding it. That might help - the arms on side view are driving me nuts and maybe length is the answer.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the final dimensions will be. 68px is enough for most hair and small horns, but not enough space for a big hat.

It won't be compatible. There's a bit of a similar look because, well, it's me doing it, but these taller sprites are also a bit wider and then the heads are much smaller. I'd have to start from scratch on clothes and such.

You can do what you want with the DF template since I built it off the official sprites rather than building it myself. I like credit because I did put the work in, but if you want to build off of them and post it it's fine by me.
  9. Okay, arms are a bit longer, rounded the back of the head a bit, and added more twist to the body in the movement frames ( which looks good but I will regret it when it comes time to make clothes. ;p ) I think I'm basically happy with her now and can move on to the male version. ( I will be making tiny alterations forever, I know me. )

  10. @WaywardMartian Thanks for the reply! I don't know why I didn't think to just change the setting from male to female, definitely took a break after feeling super dumb lmao.

Thanks for the work you're doing, really appreciate it.
  11. More of this, now with male-type bodies. I think I'm going with 72x48 because I don't want to go wider because hitboxes and height-wise that should allow me to fit hats. In my usual array of skintones to make sure everybody looks good ( ie: I had to tweak the two midtone ones a little because their outlines were too harsh. )

I will be making tweaks to this forever. :p

( Yes, I'm already making clothes and stuff. :p )
  12. Test character in a basic outfit and basic hair. Clothes aren't so bad but hair is the worst to animate and I will die because I want to do a lot of hairstyles. Bury me with my tablet.

  13. Very beautifull! Could you also do it in "side" style ?!

Thanks! I won't be doing sideview battlers, though.

    Ok, nevermind! :LZYwink:
  16. My proof-of-concept party for these tall sprites! Also to show that I can indeed fit big ol' hats in the space allowed.

( If you care, I have named them Leo, Arabelle, Paula, and Sergei. ;) )
  17. @WaywardMartian, how do I use the "word animations"? Those are AMAZING!!!
  18. @User1978 Short answer is the same way you use any animation in MV. ;) But if you're not sure how to make your own animations, that's going to take someone better at explaining things than me. I learned how to do it by studying how the default animations are put together, but I'm nowhere near an expert. Maybe somebody's made a tutorial in one of the Help forums.

All good, thank you so much for the reply and keep up the AMAZING work, sir!
  20. Been a while since I did a Modular set. Let's see if I can remember how to upload stuff. Anyway, People1_6:
