This is a bit of an odd request, as I'm probably the only person who liked this, but I figured I'd ask anyway.
I was messing around with VX the other day, and found that I rather liked how VX handled its battle log compared to how MV does. That is, it uses the message system and puts the battle log in a text box where the actor status window would be, rather than listing it in lines at the top. I think it's a bit easier to follow than MV's default, which is good for frontview battle systems. I guess the downside is that the actor's health bars aren't visible this way, but maybe that's something a parameter could handle?
On the subject of frontview battle systems, I also like how VX (and Ace, if I'm remembering right) had screen flashes still occur for enemy attacks, even if the full animations didn't play. It'd be nice to have the option to keep this in MV, since by default MV doesn't do this (it only plays the sounds for enemy attacks). I'm aware that I could use Yanfly's Battle Status Window and have the full animations for enemy attacks on top of a bunch of other nifty features, and I'm also aware that screen flashes seem to be rather frowned upon, but...eh. I have my preferences, and lately I've found I don't care that much about full animations.
Anybody who wishes to take a crack at this has my thanks and appreciation.
