[VX ACE] Victors Animated Battlers Questions

  1. So I managed to get Victor's Animated Battlers working after consulting several spots on the internet.  I tried messing around with what I've learned about it, but can't seem to get something to work correctly.

    I have the hero equipped with a baseball.  Which is working just fine.  The hero also has a hand gun in his inventory.  I didn't want the hero to be able to equip the handgun because I want it to be a limited use item.  He can only use it if he has bullets in his inventory.  (Figuring out how to do that is next thing on my to do list!)  When he has the gun in his inventory, he gets the "SHOOT GUN" skill.

    My problem is this:

    When he uses the "SHOOT GUN" skill, I get a animation where he's shooting the enemy with the baseball bat he's equipped with instead of with the gun!

    I tried adding  <action pose: Gun>  in the note tags of the skill itself, and to the weapon note tag, but it still does it.

    How can I fix this, or does someone have a better suggestion on how to make this work.
