Not sure how to explain this but I have a gremlin that I can't explain.
I have my game ready to compress and share, but when I compress the game and then extract it to make sure all is well, it isn't the same.
I don't include the RTP because I don't use any RTP resources.
I have noticed in the extracted folder for the game all I see is the 'system' folder and I have to copy over the folders from my project.
Does changing 'RTP=RPGVXAce' to 'RTP=' make a difference?
What have I done this time to cause such havoc? :p
VX Ace .exe not the same

Is there a huge RGSS3A file? That's where all your other data is.
-
The RGSS2A file is a whopping 1.5MB, but I think you nailed the issue. I may have accidently overridden the file by mistake.
-
If that file is 1.5MB and you are not using a lot of parallax maps (which gobble up file size) then you have something duplicating itself in there.
-
The RGSS3A file includes all the encrypted images, and I'm not sure, but it might also include all the audios as well. It's usually a big file.
If you have something like svn set up where it's doing online backups, I've found it creates its own hidden subfolders in your project, and keeps all the versions in there as well, so the more you back up to svn, the larger your project gets, and when you compile/compress, all of that is included. If you use some other kind of backup that syncs automatically, it might do something similar. -
